White claw premium vodka range

White Claw Launches Range of Premium Vodka, But There’s a Catch

While it’s natural for some parts of the world to consume Vodka as though it were water, not everyone has the palette to handle what is literally potato juice. Fortunately, White Claw, the maker of America’s number one-selling hard seltzer, has launched a new Premium Vodka that’s being described as the world’s first Triple Wave Filtered vodka. What does that mean? It means some of the smoothest vodkas you’ve ever had.

White Claw Premium Vodka takes advantage of a change in US regulations that previously made vodka practically tasteless by law in America. According to the company press release, for the longest time, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Board (TTB) required vodka, to be “without distinctive character, aroma, taste, or colour,” which means all American vodka was engineered to be almost entirely identical, resulting in “neutral at best” tasting vodka.

It wasn’t until 2020 that regulators changed the rules to allow for distinction. So, after years of work creating a remarkable filtration technology, White Claw is ushering in a new era in American vodka. Sadly for Australians, the White Claw Premium Vodka range is only available in select markets across North America, so Australian fans will have to wait a little longer before it hits our shores.

How does the White Claw vodka bottle range stand out? Using a unique filtration process that harnesses immense pressure equal to three 30-foot waves, White Claw has created a vodka with a distinctive taste, aroma, and smoothness, unlike anything that has come before.

The all-new Premium Vodka is made with 100% American grain and distilled five times in columns with copper plates. It is Triple Wave Filtered and filtered through activated carbon from charred coconut shells – innovative techniques that are not commonly seen in vodka production, which suggests White Claw is striving to create a truly distinctive and exceptional product.

The result is a minimal yet complex combination of aromas and sensations in the mouth and nose. The vodka has subtle notes of citrus at first, then grain, and then a velvety finish.

White Claw is also launching its new ready-to-drink White Claw Vodka + Soda for those who still can’t handle vodka straight—made with the same Triple Wave Filtered White Claw Premium Vodka. The vodka’s velvety finish is designed to bring out the fruit flavours in White Claw Vodka + Soda Pineapple, Peach, Wild Cherry, and Watermelon varieties.

“We believe that quality vodka shouldn’t be defined by what it lacks, and we seized the enormous opportunity to create a distinctive spirit,” said Anthony von Mandl, O.C., O.B.C., Founder & CEO, The Mark Anthony Group of Companies (that’s a lot of acronyms for one man).

The White Claw vodka portfolio includes White Claw Premium Vodka, available in 1L, 750ml, and 50ml bottles. White Claw Flavored Vodka will also be available in popular White Claw flavours, including Mango, Black Cherry, and Pineapple – in 1L, 750ml, and 50ml bottles. White Claw Vodka + Soda (4.5% Alc/Vol) is available in Pineapple, Peach, Wild Cherry, and Watermelon flavours in 12-ounce (350mm) slim cans or bundled together in variety 8-packs and single-flavour 4-packs.

White Claw Premium Vodka and White Claw Vodka + Soda are available in select markets across North America, so Australian fans will have to wait a little longer before it hits our shores. Until then, when it arrives, we can look forward to trying out this exciting new addition to the spirits market. Or you can dive into our picks for the best Vodka brands to drink right now.
