John Cena Prefers This Car Over his Lamborghini

He might be best known for his career in the WWE Universe and Hollywood acting roles, however, it’s clear that John Cena has great taste outside the ring. Not only is he a world record holder for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, but he has one of the best car collections in entertainment.

And while he rarely goes into detail about what exactly sits behind the garage door, a recent interview with Andrew Santino has revealed that two of John Cena’s favourite cars include a Honda Civic Type R and an uber-rare Lamborghini Countach valued at more than $2 million. What’s particularly surprising is which car he prefers to daily drive. As it turns out, he’s just like the rest of us, albeit invisible.

When asked about his car taste in general, John Cena says he prefers older cars like his Countach, but they’re a little unreliable so he usually goes for his Honda Civic Type R. “I like archaic stuff, but it’s also really unreliable, my daily driver is a Civic Type R. It’s got the technology, it’s got a third pedal, at 145mph it’s stable, and it goes. It’s got seats in the back I can actually pick people up,” he said.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about John Cena’s appreciation for the Japanese brand either. His Instagram is littered with posts about great Hondas, including the 2020 Civic Type R in question, an Integra DC2 Type R, a Honda N One, and even a Club Racer Edition S2000, great taste. Furthermore, a post on the civicx.com forum shows what appears to be Cena’s personal Boost Blue 2021 Honda Civic Type R. Maybe there’s more to this connection with the brand than just his sponsorship deal with the brand.

On his Lamborghini Countach, he says it’s a little impractical for daily use. “If you have a purse in a Countach, you’re screwed, and they are a little bit rough around the edges,” he said. “The clutch is a dogfight, and it’s really tough to get these things running right like they’re always in the shop because it’s leaking some sort of fluid somewhere. Yeah, if I actually need to drive a car on a distance more than like 10 miles, it’s the Civic Type R.”

With an estimated net worth of more than $80 Million USD, it’s clear Cena can choose to drive whatever car he likes. We’ll stick with the Honda for now, maybe the new 2023 Civic Type R if we had the choice. Of course, if money was no object we’re opting for a Huracan STO, but that’s just us.
