East Coast Defender is an Orlando custom builder that specialises in Land Rover Defenders. Their latest is the Huntress, which was built for a renowned artist. She is known for her bold art installations and wanted her custom ride to be every bit as fearless as she is. Based off of the Land Rover Defender 130, the Huntress was upgraded with a ton of Amenities to give it lots of attitude.
The Huntress features a 6.2 litre 430 horsepower Chevy Corvette V-8 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. With this setup, the Huntress can go from zero to 60 seconds in just 6.5 seconds flat. As if that were not enough, this build was updated with a two-inch lift kit, Boost 18-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires and Wilwood brakes. To help with negative acceleration, the brakes were installed with 4-piston rear callipers and 6-piston front callipers. Other upgrades include a tubular winch bumper, a WARN winch, swing-away spare tire carrier and a front Safety Devices roll cage.
Outfitted with locally-sourced alligator skin bucket seats, the Huntress is truly something special. These unique seats will develop a beautiful patina over time making them even more striking with age. Custom brown leather accents can be found throughout the interior. A Puma dashboard was outfitted with classic gauges to give the interior kind of a retro feel. Among other upgrades include advanced technology such as integrated wi-fi, a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system, GPS and a custom Morel amplified speaker system.
