While writing this column is a privilege, it’s also a burden. Nothing disrupts those savings goals quite like researching and writing lists of cool stuff to buy. Sometimes I think ignorance would be bliss. Then again, I love the buzz that comes from booting up a newly installed game on launch day.
At least 60 new video games are launching throughout November 2025, all vying for your time and hard-earned money. So, where do you start? Right here, of course! Well, actually a few lines down, but it’s always wise to start at the top. This month crams in a lot of great content regardless of your platform of choice, and there’s even some interesting stuff happening in the VR space! With a host of PC favourites returning, Xbox games copping major updates, and PlayStation hits venturing into the deep, dark abyss, this month is all about some heavy-hitting franchises.
Best New Video Games Releasing This Month
If you are looking for thrills, spills and some sick new tricks, this month’s slate of new video games will more than suffice. With the return of a cinematic favourite, some new horror survival games and an icon of the past set to land in the imminent future, gaming is back on the menu. Here are the best new video games releasing in November 2025.
Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition

Microsoft continues sharing with its competitors as the latest Age of Empires lands on PS5. This real-time strategy experience won a bunch of awards on release and this Anniversary Edition includes additional civilisations and maps for your empire-building pleasure.
Football Manager 26

A good manager effectively communicates, provides clear direction and creates a supportive environment. It’s no different on the field. Craft a football philosophy and transform a squad with new foundations and advanced tools. With fully licensed clubs and advanced player movements, you can expect rich game-day experiences.

The acclaimed factory-building, action-adventure game finally comes to consoles. And if you’re unfamiliar with Satisfactory, then that description must seem bonkers. Explore an alien planet and conquer nature by building massive factories. Venture out on expeditions, gathering resources and fending off nature. Play solo or with friends and enter conveyor belt heaven.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment

Dynasty Warriors meets Tears of the Kingdom in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. Play as Princess Zelda, King Rauru and other familiar faces as you fight to reclaim your homeland from Demon King Ganondorf and his invading forces. Play solo or in two-player co-op on split-screen or on two Switch 2s using Gameshare.
Lumines Arise

Expect a mind-blowing, fiendishly addictive reinvention of the puzzle classic Lumines, from the studio behind Tetris Effect. You’ll manipulate blocks falling from the top of the screen for an experience elevated through an eclectic soundtrack and dazzling visuals synched to the beat. Anno 117: Pax Romana

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide

- Release date: November 18
A clash between the Flying Dutchman and King Neptune unleashes ghostly mayhem all over Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob and Patrick will need all their skills (or lack thereof) to return life to what passes for normal in their undersea home. Switch seamlessly between the two heroes, combine their unique platforming abilities and battle epic bosses on their ghostliest adventure yet!
Marvel’s Deadpool VR

The merc with a mouth returns for a VR hack ‘n’ slash game exclusive to Meta Quest 3 headsets. With a shiny new contract, Deadpool’s out to kidnap a bunch of villains for Mojo’s interdimensional game show. Flow from parkour to punching bad guys with your weapons, their weapons, their severed limbs or whatever chimis your changas.
Demonschool

- Release date: November 19
Demonschool is described as a new-style tactics RPG where motion equals action. Defeat big weirdos in between the human and demon worlds as Faye and her misfit companions, while navigating university life on a mysterious island.
Kirby Air Riders
- Platform: Switch 2
- Release date: November 20
Reimagining a 22-year-old game that went below-the-radar racer, Kirby Air Riders features fast-paced, hover-based action through dazzling environments and that familiar Kirby charm. With enhanced graphics and expanded modes, this might be one to watch if you’ve moved on from Mario Kart World.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

- Release date: November 20
Another PC/Xbox game is fresh from the exclusive zone. Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the unforgiving survival adventure now coming to PS5 and benefits from a year’s worth of enhancements. Players explore the vast Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, brimming with enemies, anomalies and artifacts. This first-person survival shooter is tough in both gameplay and the choices you’ll make.
