Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Grand Feu

Featuring a milky white Grand Feu enamel dial, blue hour numerals and red highlights, Ulysse Nardin’s Marine Torpilleur Grand Feu celebrates this year’s Monaco Yacht Shower. It has the typical look and feel of any other Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur in that the case is beautifully polished and the bezel is fluted, with the exception of the colour palette adorning that enamel dial. Far from ground breaking, the Marine Torpilleur Grand Feu is a sound celebration of the manufacturer’s heritage and link to the marine world.

The Breitling Superocean features a rugged green dial and striped strap

Breitling Superocean Outerknown

Celebrating Breitling’s collaboration with world renowned surfer Kelly Slater is the Superocean Outerknown. Outerknown is a sustainable fashion brand co-founded by the surfer and one of Breitling’s Surfer Squad members. The Superocean Outerknown features a robust and rugged design, with all the tell-tale signs of a true adventurer’s watch. It also comes with the first Outerknown ECONYL yarn NATO strap collection. This collection is comprised of 18 different strap options that have been deemed “ecologically responsible”. That means that each strap is made up of regenerated nylon waste, such as from the fishing nets left to rot in the world’s oceans. Very cool stuff.

Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting Anchor Skeleton watch with blue bridges and a silver tonneau case on a blue fabric strap
The Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting Anchor Skeleton features intricate nautical design elements

Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting Anchor Skeleton

Never one to shy away from the limelight, the new Vanguard Yachting Anchor Skeleton is an eclectic piece from one of the industry’s greatest watchmakers. the Franck Muller Vanguard Yachting Anchor Skeleton is available in a variety of precious metals and features a curved structure that is both beautiful and, dare I say it, sensual. Powered by an in-house movement, the Vanguard Yachting Anchor Skeleton is a mechanical enthusiast’s dream with thanks to its sandwiching of two sapphire crystals, giving the wearer the ability to gaze through the watch. Sporty, casual and at the same time easy enough to dress up. Love it.

A Chopard Alpine Eagle watch with a dark textured dial and integrated steel bracelet set against dark rocks
The Chopard Alpine Eagle features a textured dial and integrated bracelet design

Chopard Alpine Eagle

Chopard has released a new family of watches, aptly named the Alpine Eagle collection. Perhaps to ride the wave of the ever-popular and quickly growing luxe sports watch market, the Alpine Eagle collection comes in two sizes, 41mm and 36mm. Each size has its own in-house movement, which is pretty cool in itself. All in all, there are 10 different references: three variations of the larger model with a date window and seven variations of the smaller model with no date window. Very interesting stuff from one of my favourite watchmakers.

To show its support for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TAG Heuer will generously donate 2% of all proceeds of all watches sold at TAG Heuer flagship boutiques and online between 1-7 October to the McGrath Foundation. The brand has partnered with the McGrath Foundation to raise funds and awareness for the organisation, as well as continuing its support for the McGrath Breast Care Nurses, who routinely travel around Australia treating and caring for their patients.
