Hublot Big Bang MP-11
Sapphire has long been considered as one of the toughest materials to produce, and while Hublot is known for using sapphire in its timepieces, the manufacture has gone one step further and created a wonderful spectacle. The Big Bang MP-1 is endowed in a green sapphire case that rivals even that of an emerald. The translucent case shares a similar brilliance to that of a diamond, and with that Hublot continues to reinforce its namesake: the art of fusion. The MP-11 also features a movement that has a 14-day power reserve, so I think it’s safe to say that Hublot has done well both from an aesthetic and a mechanical perspective.

Unveiled at the Salon Internacional Alta Relogeria (SIAR) in Mexico City, the Panerai Luminor Luna Rossa adds three new delightful pieces to its extensive roster. First we have the 47mm wide Luminor Luna Rossa Regatta. Then the 44mm wide Luminor Luna Rossa Flyback. And finally the 44mm ide Luminor Luna Rossa GMT. All three models feature a similar look and are just about as durable as you would want a watch to be. The futuristic look of the Luminor Luna Rossa Collection was achieved by the use of materials validated by the Panerai Laboratorio de Idee, with the focus on lightness, durability and resistance to stress and corrosion being paramount.

Glashütte Original PanoMaticLunar
Glashütte Original is the latest manufacturer to enter the fore of salmon-coloured dials. The nominated piece is the PanoMaticLunar. An exceptional combination legibility, craftsmanship and complexity endow this piece, accentuated by the rose opaline dial. The result is a watch that is striking from any angle. I particularly like the asymmetrical look of the dial which works well to ensure that there is plenty of dial space to appreciate the PanoMaticLunar ‘s lavish look.
