The team at Man of Many is back in full force this week after a month or so of holidays, international trips, and a particularly nasty bout of the flu sweeping the office, but while we’re getting back into the swing of things, we don’t want to drop any of our regular opportunities to show you cool stuff. Hence, this weeks Staff Favourites!
Check out the cool stuff we’ve been wearing, smearing on our faces, or rocking out to. Plus, here’s a little give away from us to you, in honour of Sydney Whiskey Month kicking off!

Converse Chuck 70 Loafers
Nick Hall – Editor-in-Chief
At this point, I don’t think it would be any surprise to anyone that I love Chuck Taylors. I own a frankly ridiculous number of pairs in all different colours, I gym in them, I work in them, I even wrote the unofficial history of the man behind the moniker, but times are changing. In an effort to grow up and act like a real adult, I’ve been slipping my feet into loafers and dress shoes, and while I do look a little more presentable, something just feels off. So imagine my delight when a pair of Chuck 70 loafers arrived on my desk, courtesy of the fine people at Converse.
It features a luxe leather upper with canvas construction, a houndstooth tongue lining, and a lugged sole. At first glance, these new stompers look like a classy, refined pair of leather dress shoes, but when you peer a little closer, the Chuck 70 DNA is undeniably present. You can even find the All-Star license plate, which is a nice little touch. Admittedly, these won’t be for everyone; for the corporate emo crowd, which I firmly represent, these are the ultimate embodiment of business attire. The Converse Chuck 70 Loafers launched on May 1, so check them out.

Calder Lab Eye Serum
Alex Martinez – Media Sales & Brand Partnerships
The appearance of my skin is all over the place at the best of times. Focusing on a skincare routine and trying out a few brands across the spectrum has actually been really nice. I’m into it now, and a current favourite is the Calder Lab Eye Serum.
It sits on the more expensive end of the eye-serum spectrum but it deserves to be there. It’s designed to target common concerns around the eyes, such as puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines, and is formulated with clean, plant-based ingredients, absorbs quickly and delivers hydration without leaving a greasy residue.
This is important and a bit of a sticking point for me now with skincare products – if it doesn’t absorb quickly and you are applying before bed, you’re going to end up with cream smeared on your pillow case and it’s gross. This serum’s antioxidant-rich blend helps brighten and firm the under-eye area, making it a strong addition to any modern skincare routine.

Skeletá, Arise!
Dean Blake – Entertainment & Tech Journalist
I’ve been a fan of Swedish rock band Ghost since its third album, Meliora (2015), took me by complete surprise. The group’s melding of classic rock, 70’s metal, occult imagery and just a sprinkling of prog delivered something that I didn’t realise I sorely wanted, and while I don’t think anything has quite hit the peak of Meliora since it’s launch, every album released since has had some absolute bangers.
The band’s latest, Skeletá, is no different: trading a lot of the edge of the band’s earlier work for more pop-infused anthemic rock.
Change isn’t a bad thing, but this latest album has definitely split the fan base. Still, I’d like to highlight a particular song toward the end of the album: Umbra. It’s by far the best track on the album (in my humble opinion), and probably should have been the closing song in all honesty.
Umbra musically delivers everything a good Ghost song should, infusing cultish reverence between soaring keyboard and guitar solos, while just being an absolute banging good time.
