The 97th Academy Awards, more commonly known as “The Oscars”, were held on Monday this week, and delivered the usual big wins, long-ass speeches, and questionable fashion choices.
Hosting this year was Conan O’Brien, with the late night host following faithfully in the footsteps of Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Neil Patrick-Harris, and, of course, Billy Crystal (who he paid tribute to on stage). O’Brien did a great job, honestly, but as usual it’s the winners that stole the show.
This year, there were a number of run-away successes, with Anora taking home five wins, and The Brutalist and Wicked both taking home two each, but also quite a bit of diversity in the types of films celebrated. Here, we’ve pulled together all the big winners from the night in one place, so you make the best possible watch-list for the year ahead.
Enjoy!
