Netflix’s Blockbuster TUDUM Event: Everything You May Have Missed

Netflix dropped a bombshell overnight, revealing a buffet of new teasers and trailers for some of its most-anticipated new releases. At TUDUM, the streaming platform’s first-ever global fan event, Netflix showcased never-before-seen glimpses at hit shows like Stranger Things, Ozark, Money Heist, Sex Education, Bridgerton and Cobra Kai, alongside the action-packed first trailer for the Chris Hemsworth-led follow-up to Extraction. Needless to say, the entertainment calendar is filling up. Here’s everything you may have missed from the Netflix TUDUM event overnight.

Stranger Things

One of the most hotly-anticipated series on Netflix is set to return next year, this time in a new location. The streaming service debuted the first look at Stranger Things: Season 4 which takes us to the ‘Creel House’, a seemingly haunted abode. Decades after an ill-fated family moves into the house, the teenage sleuths enters to investigate.

Extraction 2

Chris Hemsworth is back in the sequel to the surprise hit of 2020. We’re not quite sure how Hemsworth’s mercenary Rake is still alive at this point, but we do know he is back for another action-packed round.

Ozark: Season 4

The farewell tour continues. Netflix unveiled the first trailer for the long-awaited fourth and final season of crime saga Ozark. The 14-episode final season will be split into seven-episode drops that both air next year and it looks intense. In the first teaser, the Byrde family will contend with its new and improved relationship with the Navarro drug cartel. Expect a lot of blood.

The Witcher: Season 2

All lights are on Kanye West in this exclusive clip from the landmark new documentary about the iconic rapper. According to Netflix, the new release was filmed over two decades, providing an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye’s experience. It goes on to showcase both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist.

A massive new release for Netflix, this series looks to be a winner. Based on the acclaimed comic books created for DC by Neil Gaiman, The Sandman takes the superhero genre and turns it on its head. In this teaser clip, we get our first look at the long-awaited dark fantasy series.

Not in this Dojo. Netflix also used the TUDUM event to drum up a bit of hype for the new season of martial arts comedy Cobra Kai. Here, we see your favourite Dojo masters belt up for a sneak peek at the next competition.

Vikings: Valhalla

Be among the first to meet the heroes at the centre of this all-new exploration. Netflix dropped the first look at the new iteration of the spectacular epic Vikings saga. This time around, it’s the legendary adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived on display.

Tiger King 2

The Joe Exotic saga is apparently not over yet. After becoming a runaway hit last year, the Tiger King gang is back again, picking up right where they left off. While we’re not sure exactly what the premise of Tiger King 2 will be, this teaser will get you refreshed on the batsh*t series.

Cowboy Bebop

One of the biggest anime series of all-time gets reborn in a live-action remake courtesy of Netflix. The series itself is yet to make a splash, with fans still waiting to catch a glimpse of the aesthetic and characters, however, this teaser trailer of the opening credits does give us some confidence it might turn out alright.
