Legendary Canadian hardcore band Alexisonfire has announced a blockbuster Australian tour for 2025, with shows in Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Across four shows in March 2024, the chart-topping five-piece alternative act will perform songs from an enduring catalogue spanning more than twenty years and five hugely successful studio albums. Joining the Alexisonfire Australia tour for 2025 will be New Jersey punks GEL and post-hardcore icons Underoath, who will be performing their seminal 2004 album They’re Only Chasing Safety in full.

The upcoming Australian tour marks a welcomed return for Alexisonfire, who were last in Australia in February 2023 to support Otherness, their first album in over a decade. This time around, the Canadian act is stepping things up, playing larger venues and welcoming more Australian fans into the fold. The 2025 Alexisonfire Australian tour kicks off at Perth HPC (formerly HBF Stadium) on Thursday, 6 March; before continuing down Australia’s East Coast with shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Globally, post-hardcore icons have sold over 1 million records and released five hugely successful studio albums. Releases Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009) all achieved platinum certification, with Crisis debuting at #1 on the Top 200 Soundscan (Canada). The band’s unique sound, which members self-described as “two Catholic high-school girls in mid-knife-fight”, has influenced numerous acts across the globe, helping to pioneer the melodic hardcore genre.
The announcement of the new Alexisonfire Australian tour comes fresh off a stadium show alongside Blink 182 in August and just weeks after the band was confirmed for the 2025 instalment of When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas.
Underoath and GEL
Iconic post-hardcore act Underoath will also be joining the Alexisonfire Australia 2025 tour, marking the band’s first performance Down Under since 2019. Importantly, the tour will also see the band celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their seminal 2004 album They’re Only Chasing Safety, performing the record in its entirety along with an encore set.
With origins dating back almost 30 years, Underoath is one of the most successful acts of the mid-2000s hardcore scene. Albums They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define the Great Line, which peaked at no. 2 on the Billboard 200, both earned gold certifications by the RIAA and are widely regarded as the pinnacle of the band’s iconoclastic sound.
The band took a brief hiatus in 2013 before returning in 2015, when drummer, clean vocalist and last remaining original member Aaron Gillespie returned to the lineup. Underoath recently wrapped the European leg of their world tour, playing some of the largest headline shows of their career and has confirmed new music is on the way in 2025.
Frontier Touring has also confirmed that New Jersey punk outfit GEL will support the Alexisonfire Underoath Australian shows. Fresh off last year’s album Only Constant, the band is helping to reshape the sound of hardcore in 2023, with Pitchfork acknowledging the “unrelenting ferocity” of their work.

Frontier Touring has confirmed that tickets for all shows on the 2025 Alexisonfire Australian tour will be priced at AUD$119.90. All concerts are general admission standing performances only; however, they will be All-Ages events.

Frontier Members will have early access to early presale tickets on Thursday, 14 November. Importantly, there is a strict presale limit of four tickets per customer and a general public limit of eight tickets per customer for this event. According to Ticketek, persons who “exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice”.
