Selena Gomez Stuns in Her Self-Designed New Swimwear Line

Suffice to say, Selena Gomez knows her way around a bikini, so it’s no surprise that her latest swim collection with La’Mariette has drawn attention around the world. The 28-year-old superstar has collaborated with BFFs and founders of the swimwear brand, Theresa Mingus and Morgan Brutocao, to create a trippy tie-dye capsule all in an Aura print, featuring bright purples, reds and greens.

“So grateful that I get the opportunity to celebrate my friends’ endeavours. My collaboration with @lamariette is out today,” Gomez wrote on Instagram. “What I love about this brand is that it celebrates women who love their bodies unconditionally giving themselves the grace they deserve.”
According to the brand, the swimwear was heavily influenced by Gomez’s vibrant personality and confidence. “The Aura print is inspired by Selena, her aura shines through in everything she does and we want everyone else to feel that sort of transformative feeling of being their most authentic self,” explained La’Mariette co-founder Morgan Brutocao in a press release. “Selena’s confidence is unmatched and being able to design a print with her which embodies that is so rewarding.”
Gomez spoke about her creative process and how she landed on the unique colour design. “It was really fun for us to play around with creating swimsuits because Theresa, Morgan and I love being outside so much,” Gomez said of the process in a statement. “After going through swatches, my favourite colour was purple. I wanted to stay away from colours I’m used to like red and white,” she added. “Purple felt different for me and we added pops of colour like green and neons here and there; it really becomes your own suit however you wear it.”
Recently launched, the new line includes six swim styles featuring two tops, two bottoms, a one piece, and a sarong. The collection will be available in sizes XS-XXL and priced from AUD$65 to AUD$160. You can shop the Selena Gomez x La’Mariette release on their website now.
