Double-Time: Breitling Super Chronomat UTC-Module Adds a Watch for Your Watch

Two heads are better than one, right? If that’s true, then wouldn’t two watches also be better than just one? Breitling thinks so. Their new Super Chronomat with UTC-module has two watches on the same band, allowing you to track time in two different time zones.

The Super Chronomat comes with Breitling’s B01 chronograph calibre, which features a column wheel and vertical clutch. The automatic movement has a 70-hour power reserve. That movement is housed in a 44mm case that’s 14.5mm thick. The black bezel insert is ceramic, and it features swappable tabs at 15 and 45, allowing you to either count down or count up. The Super Chronomat comes with a display case back and offers 200 meters of water resistance.

The watch comes on a rouleaux bracelet or a rubber strap. You can also choose between steel or 18k gold. For the UTC module, you’ll need to select the bracelet. That’s not the only additional timekeeper on the watch. The Super Chronomat also features the Super Chronomat 44 Four-Year Calendar, which Breitling says is “semi-perpetual” (you only have to adjust it on leap years). On the dial, you’ll find four subdials that measure the date, day of the week, and month as well as chronograph timing.

Breitling is offering the Super Chronomat in blue and black dials with differing amounts of red gold as an accent depending on the price you’re willing to pay—between USD$15,200 to USD$17,250 for the Four-Year Calendar. The B01 44 can be had for $8,500 for the steel model on a rubber strap at the low end and for $23,650 for the gold version. If you want the UTC version, you can expect to pay $10,000. Not a bad price to double up on your ability to mark the march of time in two time zones.
