TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T

In honour of the renowned Formula One champion Ayrton Senna, TAG Heuer has released two new designs commemorating the formidable racer. The first is the Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T which combines a daring design along with the yellow and green accents, representing the Brazilian flag. The Carrera Calibre Heuer 02T is powered by a tourbillon located at the bottom of the dial which you can see via the dial and also through the sapphire crystal at the back of the watch which, interestingly enough, also features a stylised yellow and green image of Senna in his helmet.

TAG Heuer Formula 1 Calibre 16 Ayrton Senna Special Edition 2019

The second piece released by TAG Heuer to celebrate Ayrton Senna is the Formula 1 Calibre 16 Ayrton Senna Special Edition 2019. Featuring an engraving of Senna’s iconic helmet on the closed steel caseback, a driver’s extension to the S-shaped bracelet (which Senna himself was a fan of) and a vertically oriented dial, the Formula 1 Calibre 16 Ayrton Senna Special Edition 2019 is a sporty watch that looks as though it can be dressed up or down. I particularly like the red accents, contrasted by the differing shades of grey throughout the watch. Very cool.

Stan Smith Signature Watch by Maurice de Mauriac

To round off this week’s Wind Up we’ve got something just a little bit special. It’s the Stan Smith Signature Watch by Maurice de Mauriac. The collaborative affair between the tennis star Stan Smith and watchmaker Maurice de Mauriac, the Stan Smith Signature Watch is available in three limited edition runs of only 100 pieces each in green, blue and red. The refined look and clean lines are, of course, very much reminiscent of the iconic Stan Smith Adidas shoes. You better move quick if you want one however, as pre-orders have already begun.
