Hublot’s Father Day Considerations
Hublot has gone out on a limb and put together a handful of watches that should appease your old man’s tastes. Hublot has paired some of its most popular watches with the stereotypical (and not so stereotypical) dad types, including the Big Bang Integral King Gold paired with the modern dad, the Big Bang Gold Ceramic paired with the classic dad, the Big Bang e Black Ceramic paired with the tech obsessed dad and the Big Bang Unico Golf paired with, yep you guessed it, the golfer dad. Our favourite is the incredible Spirit Of Big Bang Blue Sapphire, paired with the one of a kind dad (hope the wife reads this!).
Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute Smalta Clara Humming Bird
New from Jaquet Droz is the Petite Heure Minute Smalta Clara Humming Bird. Employing the 1,500 year old technique of plique-à-jour enamelling, the new Petite Heure Minute Smalta Clara Humming Bird is a stunning exercise in artistic refinement, a meticulous eye for detail and upmost balance. Beautiful stuff.
Breitling Superocean Collection
Breitling has really upped the ante in the past few years. And with the hotter months just around the corner, we thought it a good idea to revisit one of Breitling’s refreshed collections, the ocean-going Superocean collection. More than a capable diver’s watch, the Superocean is a tried-and-true water-going timepiece that is just as at home in the water as it is at the office. Available in a variety of colours, sizes and with different complications, the Superocean definitely has something for everyone. Our favourite would have to be the stunning blue Superocean Automatic 44, which sits right in that coveted Goldilocks zone of sizing.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar
The new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar was released for the Japanese market only late last year. But, as luck would have it, the same model has been made available to the rest of the world. The piece in question is a stunner. It’s encased in titanium with a matching titanium bracelet and features a salmon Grande Tapisserie dial. This is a gorgeous watch that, like the Japanese culture, is as refined as it is delicate as it is beautiful. Good luck getting one, though!
