Glashütte Original Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar
New from Glashütte Original is the latest variation of its acclaimed Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar. Now featuring a stunning rose opaline dial with contrasting blue highlights, the new Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar is an ode to the German maison’s subtle brilliance to contemporary watchmaking.
NOMOS Club Sport neomatik 42
From another German-based watchmaker, this time NOMOS, we have the brilliant little Club Sport neomatik 42. I’ve long found NOMOS to be an exceptional watchmaker, especially for those looking to enter the foray of watch collecting. And now, with the new Club Sport neomatik 42, we have an element of competition for a lot of other, more expensive and mainstream watches. The Club Sport neomatik 42 is versatile, classical enough to dress up yet casual enough to wear out and about. I love the cool look of the Club Sport neomatik 42, with the deep gradient blue dial offset well by the cool look of the steel case and bracelet. Nice bit of kit, this.
Urwerk UR-112 Aggregat
The UR-112 Aggregat is the latest piece to be added to Urwerk’s famous Special Project collection. The UR-112 Aggregat is a combination of sheer insanity, utter brilliance and an ignorance of horological norms. The end result is a timepiece that is more like a space-age wrist wearable than a mechanical watch. And I love it!
A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Honeygold “Lumen”
Last but certainly not least is the new A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Honeygold “Lumen”. Featuring a brilliant Honeygold case coupled with the phantom-like look of the maison’s iconic “Lumen” dial, the A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Honeygold “Lumen” is a wonderful piece that combines that luscious exclusive feel of a precious metal case with the intrigue of a smokey-dial.
