Grand Seiko has unveiled the Hi-Beat 36000 GMT SBGJ277 “Snow Valley,” which features a silver textured dial inspired by the snowy mountains around Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi. The watch has a robust stainless steel case with a sapphire-covered 24-hour bezel in green and white, reflecting the seasonal transition from snow to greenery. Its zaibatsu-polished finish and high-frequency cal. 9S86 movement, offering a true GMT function, ensures precision and durability.

This model stands out with its 44.2mm case, water resistance up to 200m, and the ability to track three time zones simultaneously. The dial’s green accents complement the GMT scale, while Lumibrite enhances nighttime visibility. The movement’s 55-hour power reserve and accurate timekeeping (+5/-3 seconds per day) add to its practical appeal. Priced at $6,800, it combines high functionality with refined craftsmanship, though the bracelet could benefit from a micro-adjustment clasp.

Breitling has partnered with NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo to create two limited-edition Chronomat watches. The Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 features a stainless steel case and is limited to 1,750 pieces, while the Chronomat B01 42 in 18k red gold is limited to 250 pieces. Both models share a green dial reflecting the Milwaukee Bucks’ colours, with minimal basketball-themed elements.

The GMT model includes a yellow 24-hour hand and a “GA” emblem on the secondxs hand, powered by the ETA-based Calibre 32. The Chronomat B01 42 features a display case back showcasing the B01 movement, with a column wheel and vertical clutch. Prices for these watches are AUD$8,690 for the GMT and up to AUD$32,690 for the red gold Chronomat.

Casio has released the G-SHOCK NASA Five, the fifth collaboration with NASA, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the G-SHOCK brand. This model features the classic cushion shape and an all-black resin case and strap. The watch has unique touches, such as the “NASA” logo on the dial and the 40th-anniversary logo engraved on the case back, combining durability with a tribute to space exploration.

The G-SHOCK NASA Five is not just aesthetically appealing but also highly functional, including standard G-SHOCK features like shock resistance, 200-metre water resistance, and a multi-function alarm. The design is inspired by the aesthetics of space travel and NASA’s iconic imagery, making it a collector’s item for both watch enthusiasts and space fans.
