Tissot is all about making every second count. While we can absolutely relate if you still feel like 2025 has only just started, this year has already seen the Swiss watchmaking powerhouse live up to this core philosophy with its ambitious Australian endeavours.
In the wake of its recent partnership announcement with Australian basketball legend and five-time Olympian Lauren Jackson, Tissot has just unveiled its incredibly stylish new home on Collins Street in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Joining residents of international cities like London, New York, Paris, and Osaka, Melburnians can now explore this iconic brand’s collections of immaculately crafted timepieces in a most elegant environment — thanks to the international store concept shaped by Tissot’s unmistakable design codes.
As Jackson herself puts it while guiding us around the new boutique, Melbourne is a special place, only made more so by Tissot’s arrival: “I’ve definitely been so lucky to play all over the world and experience different cultures and things like that, but for me, there’s no place like home. So being back here in Melbourne, creating new memories, it means a lot. So I love this place. I really do.”

A Special Place & Time
Slipping through the door to the stunning 114-square-metre space, you’ll find Tissot’s eye for elevated craftsmanship and elegant design extends beyond its world-renowned timepieces. Harnessing the power of wood, glass, and stone, the new location couldn’t feel more welcoming. It boasts modern furniture of the highest quality—providing maximum comfort for guests as they peruse the range—while red accents adorn the unmissable Heritage area, drawing visitors in to explore Tissot’s rich history through a series of engaging multimedia displays.

Further, Tissot’s Melbourne boutique sees it expanding its customer service offering via the introduction of the Tissot Atelier, a studio that provides personalised after-sales support to ensure customers enjoy an unforgettable experience like no other. So you know you’re in good hands.

Of course, guests will also find countless examples of Tissot’s extraordinary timepieces, all boasting the innovative watchmaking techniques that have been developed over the brand’s storied 172-year history.
These include lines like the Ballade, PRX 25mm, and PR516, to name but a few, each of which embodies Tissot’s commitment to helping its clients make every second count. With that, let’s have a closer look at the kind of remarkable timepieces you’ll find within the elegant walls of Tissot’s new location.

Ballade: Sophistication & Refinement
Since its introduction in 1994, Tissot’s Ballade line has offered up one reliably understated and elegant timepiece after another. The latest collection continues this tradition with a number of timeless signature features that will elevate your ensemble every day.
Each Ballade timepiece boasts a gorgeous guilloché dial with sunbeam rays that capture and reflect light. Similarly, the fluted bezel adds a decorative touch that’s a nod to traditional watchmaking craftsmanship. Further, each watch features an interchangeable quick-release bracelet, making it easy to change your look and imbuing each Ballade watch with maximum versatility.

PRX 25mm: Iconic Look, Smaller Scale
Tissot’s PRX line is arguably its most celebrated, and with good reason. Offering a perfect balance of the sporty and the refined, this ‘70s-inspired collection is well known for its 40mm and 35mm offerings, and now the 25mm incarnation serves up a more modestly sized—but no less impressive—take on this classic design.
Perfect for those with smaller wrists, anyone excited by the trend towards small timepieces, or ladies searching for a robust but elegant timepiece, the PRX 25mm is a must-try. With its sapphire crystal, 316L stainless steel case, and water resistance up to 10 bar—not to mention the accuracy and reliability of that quartz movement with an EOL function—this is a Tissot classic through and through.

PR516: Retro Racers
From quartz-powered chronographs to Powermatic-propelled classics, the PR516 range has long drawn potent inspiration from the high-speed world of motorsports, resulting in a dynamic collection of watches you just can’t deny.
While our top picks include the 40mm PVD rose gold chrono (ref: T149.417.33.051.00) with its bold black dial and striking PVD rose gold accents and the timeless styling of the 38mm stainless-steel model (ref: T149.407.11.051.00), you really can’t go wrong regardless of which PR516 model you choose.

A Must-Visit Destination
No matter which Tissot timepiece catches your eye, the new Collins Street boutique is sure to inspire. We recommend you plan your visit as soon as possible, and in that spirit of good advice, we feel compelled to ask Jackson what’s the best piece she’s ever received. “Dream, believe, create, succeed,” she replies.
If that doesn’t sound like Tissot’s philosophy of making every second count being put into action, we don’t know what does.
