1. Carriageworks Farmers’ Market

Frequency: Weekly

This is our favourite market in Sydney to visit on a Saturday morning when we’re looking for a croissant, fresh produce, and a delicious morning coffee to start our weekend. There’s no clothing at this market, but you’ll love the selection of food (it’s a farmers market after all). Meat, bread, coffee, pickled foods, butters and jams from top Sydney producers are all accounted for, however, you’ll also get one of our favourite miso soups in Sydney, natural wines, and flowers too. We recommend visiting mid-morning to take advantage of A.P. Bread’s next-level pizzas and bring you patience with you because the lines can get long.

This is our favourite market to visit for hunting second-hand vintage clothes. Every week vendors roll out their latest collection of t-shirts, sneakers, jackets, coats, scarves, and hats at Glebe Public School. If you’ve visited a farmers market like Carriageworks or Orange Grove, but you want a wider selection of bric-à-brac this is the place to visit. The stall holders change regularly, but we’ve found everything from a vintage camera to essential oils and handmade soaps and candles. There’s also a fantastic selection of food from donuts to dumplings and gozleme (it wouldn’t be a Sydney market without it) and you can enjoy all of this delicious gourmet food with live music. We recommend visiting around midday to make the most of lunch.
