Ferrari Roma is the stunningly sleek, silver ride presented above and below on the cobbled streets of Rome. The upcoming coupé was unveiled overnight at a dedicated event held in Italy’s iconic capital. Ferrari Roma possesses a mid-front engine, and the legendary motor company says the new sportscar features refined proportions and timeless design combined with unparalleled performance and handling.
Ferrari built the Roma as an icon of Italian design, and also to represent the pinnacle of performance in its category. They aim to achieve this with a turbocharged V8 from the family of engines that won overall International Engine of the Year award four years running. In the Roma, the engine reaches 620 cv at 7500 rpm and is coupled with the new 8-speed DCT gearbox that was introduced on the Ferrari SF90 Stradale.
Roma reaches top speed at 320km/h, can hit 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and 200km/h in 9.3 seconds.
With its distinctive flair and style, the car is a contemporary representation of the carefree, pleasurable way of life that characterised Rome in the 1950s and ‘60s. With the Roma, Ferrari is offering its clients the finesse and refinement that brings the concept of “la Dolce Vita” right up to date. For those not familiar with the Italian phrase, it translates to “the good life.”
And that’s pretty much all we currently know about the Ferrari Roma. Expect to see much more of this gorgeous ride over the coming months.
