If it comes down to picking a car by the length of its name, the Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic is the sure winner. But you wouldn’t come out on the short end of that deal. The Dynamic is just as long on performance and amenities as it is on name.
For starters, the Dynamic comes with a sporty supercharged 550 horsepower V8 with a specifically tuned performance suspension. That means the Dynamic lives up to its name, racing from zero to 100 in just 4.3 seconds.
The brakes also had to be upgraded along with the suspension with larger rotors and a four-piston grabber in the front. The frame is also stiffer, and there’s a bit more ground clearance.
The vision behind the Dynamic comes by way of Mark Stanton, director of Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations division. With plenty of affluent buyers out there that are looking for a luxurious SUV, the Dynamic will fit in nicely between those who would never by a Range Rover Sport and those that are picking up the higher end cars like a Bentley Bentayga.
The Dynamic comes with perforated and quilted Windsor leather available in four colour combinations—Vintage Tan, Cirrus, Ebony, and Pimento. The steering wheel features a contoured rim and comes with aluminium shift paddles, and the infotainment and gear selector knobs are all knurled. You can also step things up with the carbon fibre pack.
Land Rover has created a true “Gentleman’s Express” with the new Dynamic.
