Japanese streetwear icon and friend of the Trident Hiroshi Fujiwara has added the Fragment design touch to the gorgeous Maserati MC20 Cielo (from AUD$555,000 plus on-road costs). The creative director has re-imagined two contrasting black-and-white versions under Maserati’s Fuoriserie personalisation programme, which allows customers to create one-of-a-kind vehicles.
Hiroshi has taken a tailor-made garments approach to the design, and the Maserati Trident emblem, which is typically showcased on the MC20 Cielo’s tonneau cover has been replaced by Fragment’s double lightning bolt icon.
This double lightning bolt icon matches the chosen vehicle colour. You’ll find one vehicle in black (Nero Vulcano) with Fragment’s badge in matte black and one in white (Bianco Audace) with Fragment’s badge in matte white.
The theme continues on the inside with 6-way power sport seats in black full leather with white stitching, a Trident logo embroidered on the headrests, and a sport steering wheel in black Alcantara with white stitching. Finally, an exclusive metal plate celebrating the collaboration between Maserati and Hiroshi Fujiwara is applied between the two headrests to further remind you of this vehicle’s exclusivity.

Changes are made to enhance the exterior design of an already highly desirable, high-performance vehicle. Need we remind you that the Maserati MC20 Cielo is a supercar that you can drive every day, powered by the Nettuno 3.0-litre twin-turbo 90-degree V6, which is hand-built by Maserati in Modena, and produces 470kW of power at 7,500rpm and 730Nm of torque from 3,000rpm to 5,500rpm.
The Maserati MC20 Cielo is good for a 0-100km/h time of less than 3 seconds before going on to a top speed of 320km/h. More impressively is the way the car accelerates from 0-200km/h with a time of 9.2 seconds.
“Fuoriserie means ‘out of the ordinary’ in Italian, and our Trident’s customization program is conceived to create extraordinary experiences for our clients. Our wish here is for them to express their personality and passion by creating their very own Maserati. Just like Hiroshi, everyone can choose from a wide range of personalization features from our Fuoriserie collections or take more individual journeys to design true one-of-a-kind rolling sculptures,” said Klaus Busse, Head of Design
of Maserati.
