This Overfinch expression transformed a Defender 90, stripping down the 4-seat configuration and rebuilding it as a 2-seater. The deep Emerald Green exterior is colour-coordinated with a removable soft top cover that clips onto the specially constructed roll-over protection cage. The rear load space was converted using marine-grade teak, a lockable storage box and finished with the addition of an Overfinch ‘Special-Commission’ plaque.
Beneath the bonnet, lies a new 6.2L General Motors carbon fibre encased engine. Emitting powerful performance, the Defender is capable of speeds up to 110 miles per hour (177km) and is uprated with 6 piston front and 4 piston rear brakes, all controlled by the automatic transmission system and complemented by the Overfinch stainless-steel sports exhaust.
This Overfinch commission is a statement vehicle in more ways than one. Recaro sports seats are trimmed in Emerald and Tan leather featuring contrast stitching, with a dashboard and steering wheel fully upholstered to match. It’s a complete makeover from its original styling.
Overfinch has gone one step further by adding chrome components, such as door handles, a gear selector, handbrake, pedals and instrument dials. Handcrafted lettering adorns the bonnet and the 18-inch Apollo alloy wheels designed by Overfinch are also colour coded n Emerald Green.
Kevin Sloane, CEO and Chairman of Overfinch, commented, “This Defender demonstrates our DNA of Land Rover restoration and contemporary styling. We have remastered the Defender to make our customer’s dream a reality.
“Each unique detail in this conversion guarantees it to stand as the most unique Defender in the world. Exclusivity is a request which many of our clients seek, and we have every ability to deliver it.”
