  • Raymond Weil has unveiled the Millesime Jubilee, a 500-piece limited-edition chronograph that continues the brand’s 50th anniversary celebrations
  • The watch borrows its look and architecture from the sold-out The Fifty release that opened the celebrations, but with a 39-mm steel case, an RW5030 automatic movement, and a light blue dial
  • It’s priced at AUD$6,995, making it a considerably more accessible piece of Raymond Weil’s anniversary story

When Raymond Weil unveiled its The Fifty release earlier this year to mark the watchmaker’s 50th anniversary, it was a bittersweet moment. The brand had created a fitting watch to pay tribute to its five decades of craftsmanship, but at only 50 pieces that quickly sold out, well, getting your hands on one was tricky.

Happily, six months after The Fifty landed at Watches and Wonders 2026, the independent maison has followed up with the Millesime Jubilee, a more accessible but aesthetically related chronograph taking the same design cues and placing them in a more contemporary package.

The Fifty was something of an experiment for the brand in that each one was powered by one of 50 restored and hand-decorated 1976 Valjoux 23-6 movements, with a white-gold bezel sitting atop its stainless-steel case, and priced accordingly at AUD$15,500. The Millesime Jubilee is a more accessible proposition, while still offering the exclusivity of 500 pieces priced at AUD$6,995.

Neo-Vintage Case

In crafting the Millesime Jubilee, Raymond Weil reinterpreted the architecture of its predecessor through a more modern lens. The result is a fully stainless steel case measuring 39 mm across and 12.9 mm thick, which, for my money, is right in the sweet spot for a chronograph in 2026.

The case also maintains the neo-vintage character that’s the Millesime collection’s calling card. This is enhanced by the depth and retro-instrument feel of its double-sided, anti-reflective sapphire glass-box crystal.

Textured Dial

Beneath the crystal sits a light-blue central disc paired with two midnight-blue sub-dials, which give the bi-compax layout its structure. It’s an attractive combination, although I personally prefer the elevated balance of the brand’s tri-compax chronographs.

That said, the layout is tidy. Hours and minutes are where you would expect. There’s a small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at the 3 o’clock position, and a central seconds hand taking on chronograph timing duties.

The centre of the dial is occupied by a handsome alternating gadroon finish, with the Raymond Weil Genève logo and “EST 1976” applied and raised within a cartouche. Around these sits an opaline silver-toned ring beneath the hour markers, and beyond that, an azure-finished rehaut. The sub-dials also received the azure treatment.

Plus, the watch’s markers and satin-finished obelisk hands are coated in green-glowing Super-LumiNova, so darkness shall not be your enemy.

RW5030 Movement and Calfskin Strap

Powering this whole affair is the RW5030, a self-winding mechanical chronograph with a 62-hour power reserve. That’s comfortably more than two and a half days, which means you can leave it on the bedside table on Friday evening and still find it ticking when the dreaded Monday alarm goes off.

You can watch it all at work through the sapphire caseback. The movement is protected to 50 metres, so this is a watch for daily wear rather than diving. However, that suits its dress-leaning aesthetic to a tee.

This aesthetic is perfectly complemented by the Millesime Jubilee’s midnight-blue calfskin leather strap with a pin buckle, which nicely echoes the sub-dial colour, keeping the whole affair cohesive.

Pricing and Availability

The Raymond Weil Millesime Jubilee is now available until its 500 pieces sell out and is priced at AUD$6,995. If you’re a fan of the brand, particularly one based in Sydney, where the maison chose to launch its latest creation, this is a tempting way to mark 50 years of watchmaking from Raymond Weil.

Enthusiasts who missed out on The Fifty will find this to be a watch that shares much of that earlier release’s DNA, now adapted to a more contemporary and accessible package. With this launch following the recent success of its A.R.T line, 2026 is proving quite the year for this independent watchmaker.
