TAG Heuer Monaco 02

Now featuring, for the first time ever in the Monaco’s illustrious and long history, is a manufacture movement. The Monaco absolutely oozes heritage, class and tradition, so to see TAG Heuer implementing a genuine in-house movement into it is fantastic. The Monaco 02 features a brilliant sunray-pattern blue dial in a 39mm by 39mm steel case and is powered by TAG Heuer’s Calibre 02, an automatic movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch chronograph. It’s a superlative movement with lots to look at, along with being reliable and performance-oriented. A nice way to cap off the Monaco’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Longines Aviagation Watch Type A-7 1035 The Hour Glass Limited Edition

Another watch has been released to celebrate The Hour Glass’ birthday. This time it’s from Longines with the venerable Aviagation Watch Type A-7 1035 The Hour Glass Limited Edition. With its slightly skewed case and dial orientation (perfect for legibility for pilots), the Aviagation Watch Type A-7 1035 The Hour Glass Limited Edition’s distinct cathedral like hands and bold hour numerals create a sense of presence accentuated further by the monopusher onion crown. A delightfully pleasing watch to look at, the Aviagation Watch Type A-7 1035 The Hour Glass Limited Edition is available in two distinct dial colours encased in 41mm of bronze.

NOMOS Zurich Weltzeit Amsterdam Edition for ACE Jewelers

In collaboration with Dutch retailer ACE Jewelers and for the third year in a row, NOMOS has created a limited edition piece endowed in stylistic cues. The  Zurich Weltzeit Amsterdam Edition features a black dial with red highlights, a sharp case that features a high gleam polished finished and a brilliant world-time movement. The Zurich Weltzeit Amsterdam Edition has a lot of distinct but small details that need you to avidly look closer and find for yourself. The dial may seem busy, but there is a strict and divisive system that can be clearly seen. Available exclusively at ACE Jewelers from November.

Panerai Submersible watch with a matte green dial, brushed steel case, and a matching green rubber accordion strap
The Panerai Submersible Verde Militare features a military green aesthetic

Panerai Submersible Verde Militare 42mm

Featuring a deep military green dial, encased in 42mm of steel, available only on Panerai’s e-commerce channel and limited to 500 pieces, the Submersible Verde Militare is an ode to the manufacture’s ability to ride waves in what seems to be a daily-changing market. The green theme of the Submersible Verde Militare is reminiscent of that of Patek Philippe‘s new Aquanaut, and with a much lower price tag coupled with a seemingly more democratically created system of accessibility, perhaps those that missed out on the Aquanaut can “resort to” getting the Submersible Verde Militare. I know which one I’d pick.

Richard Mille RM 52-06 watch featuring a grey mask-shaped tourbillon movement inside a black carbon TPT case
The Richard Mille RM 52-06 features a striking mask-shaped movement

Richard Mille RM 52-06

Veering away from using the brand’s typical skull-dial look, and instead using a very menacing skull, the RM 52-06 is Richard Mille’s latest invention. Richard Mille has noted that it will be making four versions of this piece, each limited to only 18 models. There will be a Carbon TPT model, a white Quartz TPT model, a blue and white Quartz TPT model, and an all Quartz TPT model. Whichever one you would hypothetically pick, I’m sure it will burn a fairly deep hole in your pocket. Very cool, nonetheless.

The Chopard L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Rat celebrates Chinese tradition

Chopard L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Rat

Celebrating the Year of the Rat is Chopard’s latest Urushi inspired work of art, the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Rat. Featuring the beautiful use of Urushi, an ancient Japanese art, the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Rat’s dial depicts 2020’s symbolic animal in a stunning manner. The rat symbolises optimism and prosperity, and the L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Rat captures its tenets in a wonderful manner. The L.U.C XP Urushi Year of the Rat is made in a limited run of 88 pieces and is crafted in an 18k rose gold case. Exceptional.
