Panerai Appointed as the Official Timekeeper of the PRADA Cup

For the first time in its history, Panerai will be the “Official Timekeeper” of the upcoming PRADA Cup to be held from the middle of January to the end of February 2021. NOMOS Glashütte Beethoven Tribute Pieces

From NOMOS Glashütte, we have four pieces created in tribute to the celebration of the 250th anniversary of one of the world’s most-performed composers, Beethoven. Part of the Tetra collection now aptly named the Teta Symphony series, there are four models made in tribute to Beethoven. From left to right we have the Immortal Beloved in turquoise, the Ode to Joy in olive green, the Divine Spark with a copper dial and the Fidelio in dark blue. Bell & Ross BR 01 Cyber Skull

Next up we have the BR 01 Cyber Skull from Bell & Ross. Made in a limited run of 500 pieces, the BR 01 Cyber Skull is a striking combination of geometrical lines and sculptured edges. The interplay between flat and smooth surfaces, angular shapes and distinctive contours gives the BR 01 Cyber Skull an almost pixelated look. Panerai – Hong Kong Watch Auction by Phillips

Panerai’s has a rich and storied past, highlighted by four important vintage models that recently went under the hammer for the Hong Kong Watch Auction: XI by Phillips auction. The four models each outperformed their estimates, a clear indication of the esteem that vintage Panerai timepieces hold, with the Panerai Luminor Marina Militare reference 6152/1 selling for 1,638,000HK$ (its estimate was 240,000-480,000HK$ for reference). Panerai’s CEO had the following to say about the auction results: “We were thrilled to see these unique vintage pieces at auction. Panerai has been entering a new world with high-tech materials and innovation. However, what has not changed in our DNA is our strong Italian roots and legendary history. The four rare pieces listed in the Phillips auction in Hong Kong represent different yet equally important milestones in our history, which are also fundamental to the brand’s development in the present day”.
