Welcome back to another Feel-Good Friday! Each week, we try to highlight some fun and interesting stuff going on in the world, and wouldn’t ya know it—this weekend is a special holiday: Mother’s Day.
Chances are high you’ve already got some Mother’s Day plans in place, but we’ll include a cheeky backup here, while also showing off a few nice things going on in our neck of the woods.
Also, in case you’re after some last minute Mother’s Day gifts, check out our Mother’s Day Gift Guide.

Last Minute Mother’s Day Plans
Mother’s Day is this weekend—on Sunday, in case you forgot—and while we’re sure you already have something nice planned for them, just in case you’ve been busy, here’s an easy wins for you.
If you’re in Sydney, Watson’s Bay Hotel is partnering with KFC to throw a Habanero High Tea on Mother’s Day, where ticket sales go to support youth mental health and wellbeing through the KFC Youth Foundation. Tickets are $50 and must be booked in pairs.
If you’re looking to surprise mum with a bouquet of popcorn chicken this’d be a good way to get that to happen.

Never Never Gin Giving Away Boozy Weekend
Never Never Distilling Co., which makes some mean gin, is kicking off a chance for customers to win a trip to the brand’s McLaren Vale home, including return flights, a stay at Port Willunga’s Ukiyo House, a helicopter flight over Never Never’s vineyard, and a tasting and lunch at the Never Never distillery.
All you have to do is order a Never Never Gin & Tonic from a participating venue, visit Never Never’s website (link below), and tell them your favourite G&T moment.
The campaign ends at the end of May, so you’ve got a couple weeks to get in there and win yourself a boozy day in the McLaren Vale.

Solid Mates tackling Men’s Mental Health
Man of Many is a big fan of any effort to help out people that are struggling with their mental health—with suicide having become the biggest killer of Aussies aged between 15 and 44.
On 16 June, in Abottsford Covenant, Collingwood, a workshop-style event is being held called Solid Mates which seeks to help men speak about their issues, and facilitate self-discovery.
The event will be ticketed, with general admission tickets costing $50.07 (the 7c is for the seven men that die each day to suicide), and the Q&A panel will be include Rob Miss, Harry Garside, and Matthew Richardson. The goal of Solid Mates is to raise $100,007 for mental health organisation Tomorrow Man.
If you’re in the Collingwood area, and want to support a good cause, check it out.
