Well, the sun may not be shining quite as brightly as it was last week, but the Man of Many team isn’t letting a little drizzle rain on our parade. With the weekend now in full swing, we’re settling into a fine few days of rest and relaxation, replete with fine beverages, good food and the lure of a new footy season lurking just around the corner. With that in mind, we’re keeping the good vibes rolling with another instalment of Man of Many’s Staff Favourites. Take a load off and sit back, we’ve got a few things we want to show you.

Hermanos Gutiérrez
Nick Hall – Editor-in-Chief
I’ve been trying to embrace a little bit of calm over the past few weeks and while I haven’t always nailed it, I have found that good music makes the process a little simpler. As the ever-growing collection of Converse All-Stars and Vans Old-Schools in my closet alludes to, I grew up listening to a lot of punk and metal, which is hardly conducive to rest and relaxation. In my efforts to find solace elsewhere, I’ve dabbled in different music genres and somewhere along the way, I stumbled across Hermanos Gutiérrez.
The Latin-inspired instrumental band produces this beautiful blend of rich soundscapes and soulful guitar interplay that I find utterly fascinating. The music itself is subtle and unabrasive, perfect for winding the time away and getting deep into a meditative session. I only wish that I could play guitar like these two, rather than the awful twang that I currently produce.

A Few Amazon Purchases to Improve Your Life
Scott Purcell – Co-Founder
We’ve just moved into a new office, and there’ve been a few upgrades I thought I’d share for my desk set-up, at home and around the workplace. This list is going to be a bit of a random assortment of products in that context, so please bear with me. First up is this silicone ring cover for my new Ultrahuman Ring AIR. I tried lifting weights with it in the gym at F45 but was immediately concerned about it getting scratched. Harry mentioned trying out these rings, and so far, they are going well!
Next is this UltraGlass screen protector for my Samsung Phone. It’s got one of the best application experiences ever. It’s super satisfying to use a sticker to get all the dust off, fresh wipes, and a super clear screen as a result. I’d also recommend this to anyone who travels frequently but invest in a decent 65-watt or above charger that’s capable of fast charging your phone and most standard laptops via USB C.
In the bathroom, we didn’t have anywhere to put our mop so we got these 3M Command Broom and Mop Grippers to hide it behind the bathroom door. Add to that these YOHOM Vacuum Suction Cup Hooks and you’ll have your bathroom organised in no time!
And finally, an upgrade to my Bose 700 Headphones. For anyone familiar, the stock earbuds have faux leather that, after around 6 months, seems to disintegrate (I think perhaps deliberately), forcing you to buy a new pair. Well, I came across these WC Freeze NC700 Cooling Gel Ear Pads with breathable sports fabric that doesn’t malt, feels more comfortable and comes in a bunch of styles and designs.

GH Bass Weejun Larson Loafers
Frank Arthur – Co-Founder
For this week’s Staff Favourites, I’m spotlighting a pair of shoes that I’m keeping on ice for a special occasion. With my wedding coming up in May, I’ll be stepping into a pair of GH Bass Weejun Larson Loafers – an undeniable classic from a heritage brand. The wine colourway, which is a deep burgundy, adds a bold yet refined touch, striking the perfect balance without being over the top. Given that it’s a fairly casual tropical wedding, my outfit will be light and neutral, making these loafers the ideal subtle pop of colour. Just three months to go until I can finally take them out of the box, not just for the big day, but for many years to come.

Papa Salt Coastal Gin
John Guanzon – Head of Social
Don’t tell anyone but I’ve been on a bit of a G&T kick at home lately, and since receiving Papa Salt Gin as a gift earlier in the week, it has been my go-to! It’s got that coastal, distinctly Aussie flavour—crisp, citrusy, and a surprising hint of savoury thanks to a bit of salt. It’s the kind of gin that isn’t too in-your-face but somehow gives off that effortless summer-in-a-glass vibe.
Even though I live almost an hour away from the nearest beach, sipping it actually makes it feel (and taste) like a breezy golden hour by the sea. The cool bottle has this soft, almost seafoam-like frosted glass. I’d describe it as somewhere between a washed-out coastal blue and a misty green glass; like something you’d find on the top shelf of a beach shack bar. It’s still early days, but it just might be a good contender for my new favourite gin. Super clean, understated, and feels like a familiar Aussie summer.

Kit: Functional Fragrance
Harry Parsons – Senior Branded Content Manager
Wearing cologne is functional in the sense that it makes you smell great, but what if it could go beyond that? Kit: have introduced their take on the functional fragrance, moving beyond just smelling nice to influencing how you feel. Having generously received their Functional Fragrance bundle, I’ve been trialling their three scents, Calm, Energy, and Unwind. Each one is aimed at evoking the feeling it’s named after, and surprisingly, they do a great job at it.
Calm, designed for moments of stress, contains Black Pepper, Eucalyptus, Incense, and Cedarwood, a grounding and earthy blend. Energy, made for the 3 pm slump, combines Sweet Orange, Mandarin, Cedarwood, and Verbena, offering a fresh citrus kick. Last but not least, and my personal favourite, is Unwind. Intended for use before bed, it features Lavender, Eucalyptus, Sandalwood, and Vetiver. It reminds me of those herbal heat bags you place over your face for ultimate relaxation, it definitely a scent that signals it’s time to rest.
Packaged in a conveniently sized roll-on applicator, I can take these naturopathic scents with me anywhere, making them a truly functional addition to my fragrance repertoire.

Ray-Ban Wayfarer Deluxe
Rob Edwards – Branded Content Editor
The last thing I need is another pair of sunglasses, but these new Wayfarers from Ray-Ban are sorely tempting me thanks to their distinct, retro vibe. That metal browline and matte sandblasted gold construction couldn’t be more different from the traditional black Wayfarer design you see everywhere, so they’ll help you stand out, and thanks to their 56-18 sizing, they should accommodate those with a wider head (like me). Plus, the dark blue polarised lenses look extremely sharp. I think Ray-Ban is on to a winner here.

15 YO Doc Holliday Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Jacob Osborn – Staff Writer
This ultra-aged bourbon is firing on all cylinders and I’m not just talking about the gun-themed bottle design. It comes to us from the World Whiskey Society, an independent bottler and membership club that I covered in a previous article. The liquid was aged for 15 years and sourced from Kentucky, which in and of itself is a sign of top quality, as the state’s longest-running distilleries produce some of the planet’s best whiskey.
Named for the famous dentist and gunslinger (portrayed by Val Kilmer in the movie Tombstone), the Doc Holliday 15-Year hits the palate like a cask-strength bullet of deliciousness. From a mash bill of 75 per cent corn, 13 per cent rye, and 12 per cent malted barley comes the robust and complex taste of caramelized apples, rich vanilla, and sweet cherry with roasted pecan accents. The taste is comparable to certain expressions from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, making the USD$399 price tag suddenly seem like a bargain. This one is in limited supply, so grab a bottle before it’s gone.
