“Whisky’s good proofing water. Tells you who’s real and who isn’t.” – Peaky Blinders’ Tommy Shelby
The world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery is capping off the final season of Peaky Blinders with a limited edition. Bushmills Prohibition Recipe Irish Whiskey has arrived by order of The Shelby Company Ltd. Intense, complex, and bold, the Prohibition recipe is made the way it would have been in the early 1900s. With a more hardened bourbon barrel taste, this 92 proof, non-chill filtered whiskey gives you a pure taste of Prohibition in a bottle.

One of Ireland’s best, Bushmills scored high marks in our list of best Irish whiskey brands and it’s not hard to see why. The brand’s roots trace all the way back to when King James I granted the original license to a landowner in April of 1608. Bushmills offers a range of popular blends, acclaimed single malts, and limited editions like the rare casks series. For six seasons, Bushmills has been the ‘as-seen-on-tv’ whiskey of choice for infamous Peaky Blinders leader Tommy Shelby and his notorious family.
Thankfully, we haven’t seen the last of the Birmingham gang. Series creator Steven Knight has confirmed that a big screen iteration is on the way, sharing in an interview with UK’s Heart Radio, “We’re going to shoot it at the studios and on location in Digbeth, in Birmingham. Digbeth and Small Heath is where the Peaky Blinders actually roamed, so it’s like Peaky’s coming home.”
Toast to Tommy! The Shelby Sour is an Irish take on the classic Prohibition era cocktail.
