‘Industry’ Season 3: Trailer, Cast Members and What’s To Come

We recently got our first look at investment bank drama Industry Season 3, and to say it has us excited is a slight understatement.

Season 3 will be launching on Binge on August 12, 2024, bringing a number of new and returning characters to make good on the fallout of season two’s ending. For those not in the know, Industry follows a number of new recruits at the London office of fictional international bank Pierpoint & Co.

Across the first two seasons, the main cast, which is made up of Myha’la Herrold, Harry Lawtey, Marisa Abela and Ken Leung (who play Harper, Robert, Yasmin and Eric, respectively), are drawn into the addictive and sometimes-dangerous world of finance, and face the repercussions of their own mistakes and secrets.

Yeah, it’s a bit soapy, and more than a bit raunchy, but the show has gone on to deliver a surprisingly solid storyline so far, with Vanity Fair describing the series as the “missing link” between Succession and Euphoria. If that floats your boat, read on.

Who would have thought finance could be so sexy? Thankfully, the new trailer gives a pretty good idea of where the new season will be heading, as well as giving a brief look at some of the new faces we’re going to be introduced to next month.

Beyond the key cast members, a number of new characters have also been confirmed to make up a significant part of season three’s cast: chief among them Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington.

According to Binge, Harrington’s character Henry Muck will play a pivotal role in the season, serving as the head of green tech company Lumi. The company will be seeking to launch an IPO, will be working with Pierpoint closely to make it happen, and, if the last two seasons are anything to go by, some wild shit will go down.

Season two ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, with Harper’s secret finally revealed and coming back to bite her, so we can look forward to seeing what the show’s writers have in store for her.

Despite coming out almost two years after the second season ended, show-runners Mickey Down and Konrad Kay started working on the concept of season three before the show had even been renewed, according to newsletter Dirt. Kay said the pair “hate how slow most modern TV is”, which played a large role in the speed of the show.

“We had a rule that we had to burn our best plot ideas as quickly as possible. Hold nothing back. Every episode should feel like a finale,” he said.

There’s something to be said of the slow pacing of a lot of TV today, and if that quote is anything to go by, the new season is probably going to hit the same breakneck speed as the show’s prior offerings.
