WATCH: ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ Redefines Road Rage With Insane Brutality
A new (and final) trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 has just dropped ahead of the film’s release on March 24, which means Hollywood’s nicest guy, Keanu Reeves, is back to kill a whole load of bad guys in increasingly cool – if contrived – ways. But that’s what we want from a John Wick film, right? While the franchise’s longevity means it can’t continue to have the same breath-of-fresh-air impact of the first, it’s always a pleasure to see Reeves going up against a seemingly endless wave of inept bullet receivers.

While the franchise’s formula has remained essentially the same from film to film, with every instalment there’s always an element or two introduced to differentiate it from previous outings. Last time it was Halle Berry and her loveable combat-ready dogs. This time, we have incendiary shotgun rounds, enhanced road rage – some poor soul is hit by a car and then shot multiple times as he cartwheels through the air – and last but not least, the incomparable Donnie Yen wielding a katana.
A number of franchise staples return, including Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick, while other notable new faces include Hiroyuki Sanada and Bill Skarsgård, who proves here that he doesn’t need the Pennywise makeup from It to be off putting.

While the world John Wick inhabits has grown increasingly improbable, it’s always great fun to see how each film builds upon its lore, whether we’re talking about the unhoused acting as an information-sharing network or cabbies that are plugged into the underground inhabited by Wick and his ilk. We’re curious to see how this instalment builds upon that absurdity even further.
John Wick: Chapter 4 lands in cinemas on March 24 and there’s already a fifth instalment in pre-production, so it’s safe to say Reeve’s besuited assassin won’t meet his end by the time credits roll on this one. Check out the trailer above or via the link below.
