Stranger Things Season 4: Release Date, Trailer Confirmed

Following multiple delays, Netflix has finally dropped another first full-length trailer for Stranger Things 4. It was way back in 2019 – ironically just before the world got rather strange  – when fans last watched the nostalgic sci-fi series, however, the long wait is set to come to an end on May 27, when Volume 1 makes its triumphant debut. Volume 2 of the much-loved series will be released on the streamer five weeks later, on July 1, before the fifth and final season rounds out what has been one of Netflix’s biggest success stories of all time.

While this won’t be the first time Stranger Things steps outside the town of Hawkins, Indiana, the show’s latest season plans to split the story into different locations. We can also presume that the main characters will stroll through the Upside Down and catch up with Jim Hopper in his new residence in Russia. However, the trailer clarifies that a large part of its next chapter will unfold in California, where Joyce and the rest of the Byers have resettled.

The fourth season will see the return of its all-star cast, including Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman.

Season 4 will also introduce several new characters, including Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund as Victor Creel, Jamie Campbell Bower as Peter Ballard, Eduardo Franco as Argyle, Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson, and Sherman Augustus as Lt. Colonel Sullivan. Stranger Things season four will premiere on Netflix on May 27. You can watch the latest trailer for the hit series above.
