Seminal Las Vegas rock group The Killers have announced a last-minute Australian tour, with shows in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria scheduled before the end of 2024. Across a six-date run in late November and early December of this year, the band will bring its unique style of sing-along feel-good tunes Down Under, and it will kick off in unusual fashion. The Killers Australian tour 2024 starts with a blockbuster concert at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville, the first time the band has made the trek to the North Queensland music hotspot.

The new tour comes in honour of the 20th anniversary of The Killers’ iconic ARIA #1 debut album Hot Fuss. A release that gave fans hits such as Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, and All These Things That I’ve Done, Hot Fuss is widely regarded as one of the 21st century’s most compelling debut efforts. When it was released in 2004, the album nabbed five Grammy Award nominations and peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200. It has since gone on to sell more than seven million copies worldwide, with Australia among the long list of countries where Hot Fuss was certified platinum.
Following the band’s sold-out Hot Fuss Las Vegas residency over the past month, The Killers will perform two dedicated Hot Fuss concerts across their Australian tour, at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on Saturday, December 7 and at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Friday, December 13. The remaining four dates on The Killers Australian tour will pay homage to the band’s greatest hits album, Rebel Diamonds, which was released in December 2023.
