- Rockstar Games has revealed six radio stations for Grand Theft Auto VI, including the return of Vice City’s Flash FM.
- Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Robyn, Burna Boy and Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya are among the celebrity radio hosts.
- GTA VI introduces on-demand podcasts and lets players listen to radio and podcasts on foot through headphones and earbuds connected to their characters’ in-game smartphones.
There’s a good chance you remember hearing Toto’s Hold the Line blasting through K-DST in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Lazlow’s ridiculous talkback radio callers on Chatterbox FM in GTA III, or Hall & Oates’ Out of Touch on Flash FM as you tore around Vice City. More recently, you might remember Cara Delevingne hosting Non-Stop-Pop FM in GTA V.
No matter how you were introduced to the wide world of Grand Theft Auto radio stations, chances are a few of those songs and voices are still rattling around your brain long after you’ve put down the controller.
Now, Rockstar Games has revealed six radio stations coming to Grand Theft Auto VI, with some serious star power sitting behind those studio microphones. Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Robyn, Burna Boy and even two members of the thrash band Slayer are among the famous voices taking over Leonida’s airwaves.
But it’s 2026, and Rockstar won’t be pausing the tunes when the car stereo turns off. For the first time in the series, GTA VI will let the main characters, Jason and Lucia, listen to radio and on-demand podcasts on foot through headphones and earbuds connected to their in-game smartphones. Turns out you won’t even need to steal a car to find something worth listening to.
1/3Six Stations, Plenty of Personality, With More Still To Come
The newly revealed lineup of six radio stations across Leonida in GTA VI covers everything from reggaeton and country to heavy metal, pop and Southern hip-hop, with plenty of recognisable names and voices behind the microphones.
Bad Bunny and RaiNao host Latin music station Cocoteo FM, while Burna Boy and Palms Trax run AfroBank FM. Metalheads can tune into The Chamber 106.6, hosted by Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya, while Dirty South Classics brings together Trick Daddy and Trina for a healthy dose of Southern rap.
Over on Back Country Radio, Morgan Wallen joins Lana Del Rey for some renegade country, with Del Rey’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, appearing as airboat-driving swamp reporter Mud Dog Mike. Apparently, even the weather forecast needs a character in GTA.
And finally, Flash FM, my all-time Vice City favourite, returns to the airwaves, with Swedish pop star Robyn and model Alex Consani behind the microphone. A familiar name, even if the music has moved on from the eighties.
All Six Confirmed GTA VI Radio Stations
To hear what this new generation of GTA radio sounds like, you can preview the first six stations on Rockstar’s website right now.
- Cocoteo FM: Modern Latin music, hosted by Bad Bunny and RaiNao.
- Back Country Radio: Country music, hosted by Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey, with Del Rey’s husband Jeremy Dufrene as Mud Dog Mike.
- AfroBank FM: African music, from classics to amapiano, hosted by Burna Boy and Palms Trax.
- The Chamber 106.6: Heavy metal, hosted by Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya.
- Flash FM: Pop music, hosted by Robyn and Alex Consani.
- Dirty South Classics: Southern rap and hip-hop, hosted by Trick Daddy and Trina.
1/7GTA Radio Follows You Across Leonida
Rockstar says GTA VI will feature the biggest, most varied selection of in-game radio stations in the series’ history, with the initial six just a taste of what’s coming to Leonida.
Alongside the new podcasts to explore and the separately announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, featuring 34 original tracks, you might need to book another ‘GTA Sickie‘ just to hear it all. At least you won’t need to show your licence every time you change the station.
That’s half the fun of Rockstar’s open-world juggernaut of a video game series: in the early hours of your first playthrough, exploring the world also means hijacking a car and finding the right radio station for your next mission. And now, for the first time, GTA VI lets you take the music with you.
