Balenciaga’s $1,700 AirPods Case is Covered in Rhinestones

AirPod lovers already have a bad reputation as obnoxious snobs and the latest offering from Balenciaga won’t help the cause. The designer brand recently unveiled the Glam Earpods Holder in silver, made from shiny-toned brass and dripping in sparkly white rhinestones.  The drop also features a ring phone holder, constructed from the same materials as the boujee earpod case.

While most of us keep our earbud cases in our pockets, the piece in question was born to be seen.  That’s why the Glam Earpods Holder comes equipped with removable chains attached to the sides by hooks, providing the option to wear the case like a miniature bag. Furthermore, the holder has been constructed to snap together for ultimate security and comes finished with engraved Balenciaga branding.

The ring phone holder boasts a similar array of rhinestones and a Balenciaga logo engravement.

As you’d expect, Balenciaga’s blinged-out tech accessories will do some damage to the piggy bank. The Glam Earpods Holder is priced at USD$1,290 (AU$1,690), while the phone ring holder will set you back USD$475 (AU$595). The pieces are available online now via the Balenciaga website.
