Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Release Date, Price Confirmed

When the Nike x Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 was first released many speculated that the shoe would never see the light of day outside of the most-connected sneaker collectors in the world. The shoe was hard enough to see with your own eyes, and the thought of obtaining a pair for yourself was nonsensical, to say the least. Outside of the few pairs that were offered to Virgil Abloh’s closest friends, we closely documented the pairs auctioned off at Sotheby’s and when a pair fetched $25.3 Million, thoughts of a global online release were surely put to sleep.

That all changed in a matter of days, as the hype surrounding the global release of the shoe hit the mainstream, and Louis Vuitton confirmed the shoe would see a global online release on July 19th, 2022. We’re breaking down where to buy the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 in Australia below, but with a retail price starting at $4000 AUD for the low-top, be warned they don’t come cheap.

Nike x Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 Online Release Information

Release date: 6pm on July 19th, 2022
Where to buy: Louis Vuitton
Price: $4000 AUD (Low), $5000 AUD (Mid)

The Nike Air Force 1 is a sneaker that needs no introduction. Since 1982 the shoe has become a staple of any stylish person’s wardrobe, and while they’ve recently fallen victim to the ‘beat Air Force 1’ trend, there’s no sneaker in history that’s as widely appreciated as a pair of white on white AF1’s. They’re big money makers for Nike too, with recent court documents showing turnover to the tune of $800 Million annually. The shoe’s history is ever-standing and no shoe deserves the limelight as much as the AF1, especially in the hand of Virgil Abloh.

Calling the Air Force 1 an emblem of ‘streetwear’ would be an understatement, and none knew this more than Louis Vuitton CD Virgil Abloh. These shoes will release in the wake of his passing and serve as a reminder of how transformative and important his vision was and is today. For the first time ever, the Louis Vuitton AF1 will be made outside of Nike Factories, exclusively handmade in Fiesso d’Artico.

The Nike x Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 will be offered to customers in both low and mid-top silhouettes, priced at $4000 and $5000 respectively. Colourways made available at launch include white low and mid, black suede, and flashier pairs in gold and multi-colour. Our favourites have to be the three coloured pairs, seen here in red, blue, and green with a white toe box, heel, and panelling. The standout pair aesthetically is the Louis Vuitton monogrammed mid with Virgil Abloh’s graffiti print on the lateral side of the shoe.

To secure a pair for yourself, set an alarm for 6 pm on July 19th, 2022. More information on the sneaker can be found via the link below.
