Mick Fanning’s Golf Sandal Has a Built-In Bottle Opener

The Mick Fanning sandal collection at Reef has long been famous for its supreme comfort and, of course, the cheeky bottle opener at its sole. Now the surf champion wants to bring his signature line to the golf course with the release of the Fanning Spackler Golf Sandal.

Featuring an air bubbled sole and ethically crafted leather straps, you may assume it looks like any other pair of Fannings. However, you’ll notice an outsole that extends near the strike point for added swing stability, and underneath the sandal, there are seven replacement spikes, which make it suitable for both the beach and the golf course. Nestled in between the spikes is Fanning’s signature bottle opener, so you can still pop the top off a few frothies as you head down the fairway.

Reef has combined two sports cultures to create the ultimate summer sandal. Now, we doubt you’ll see anyone at this week’s US Open sporting Mick’s Spackler’s, but for a beer filled afternoon round with mates, these are absolutely ideal. If you’re a golf enthusiast hunting to exhibit something unique for your next golf trip, then pick up a pair from Reef’s official website. The sandals are currently priced at USD$100 and only 100 were produced for their initial launch. However, you can sign up to be notified when the Spackler hits the site again.
