It’s time for the adidas Country OG. The brand is still riding the suede wave – including models like the Samba, Gazelle, and Handball Spezial – and they’ve tasked Australian-based fashion label Song for the Mute to give their creative take on the next big model. As always, SFTM has delivered.
They’ll be launching three ’90s-inspired colourways of the adidas Country OG in late February as part of their bigger ‘SFTM-003’ apparel collection.

The sneakers take inspiration from 90s colourways with pale grey, white, black, and teal nylon hues reminding us of vintage wind-breakers. With all SFTM collaborations, the devil’s in the details and we love the metallic D-ring hardware that pairs with a custom paracord-inspired toggle lacing system.
Creative Director Lyna Ty has also cooked up eight garments that explore new textiles and techniques to complement the footwear. First up is the plush Sherpa fleece zip-up jacket with digitally printed contrast sleeves and logo embroidery, we think this pairs perfectly with the press-stud track pants in lightweight coated cotton. Of course, they work with any of the three coloured adidas Country OGs.
Meanwhile, the distressed jersey hoodie is available in brown and teal for layering with an oversized blazer in lightweight coated cotton. And finally, the custom jacquard knitwear stands out with contrasting colours.
An official Australian release date will be announced shortly, but look for these to drop around the 21st of February with prices for the Song for the Mute x adidas Country OG stickered at $200 AUD and the apparel collection ranging from $200.00 – $440.00 AUD.
