Australia’s Largest Whiskey Tasting
Buffalo Trace is aiming to make history in Sydney over the Father’s Day weekend by hosting the biggest whiskey-tasting event Australia has ever seen!
On the evening of August 31, fans of the Kentucky distillery’s liquid gold will congregate on Henson Park’s legendary football pitch in Marrickville, which will be transformed into a whiskey-lovers’ paradise for one night only.
Taking place in the wake of the afternoon’s Newtown Jets vs. Warriors game—to which your whiskey tasting ticket will also provide admission—Buffalo Trace’s event will host 250 guests seated at a 100-metre table to sample the the master bourbon maker’s finest drams. The evening will also act as a celebration of Buffalo Trace’s 250th anniversary, securing its status as the oldest continually operating distillery in the U.S.
In addition to the delicious whiskey expressions on offer, attendees will also be treated to a feast from Sydney’s renowned Black Bear BBQ restaurant—including a cut from a huge rotating pork spit. The whole affair will be hosted by comedian and football personality Andrew Barnett and Buffalo Trace whiskey expert Gee David. Barnett will deliver the laughs, while David will provide fascinating insights into the history of Buffalo Trace with stories you won’t hear anywhere else. Together, they’re sure to bring the house down.
A Night of Exceptional Drams
Throughout the evening, the hosts will guide guests through a range of remarkable expressions from the iconic distillery, including Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey, Weller Special Reserve Wheated Bourbon, and Buffalo Trace Distillery Bourbon Cream. Additional drinks will also be served on the night, and the brand has some special surprises in store that we can’t spoil here.
