The KFC Tower Burger is returning to restaurants Australia-wide from Tuesday, 29 October, to Monday, 25 November 2024. It briefly tantalised our tastebuds in 2021 with a limited-run release and then returned a few years later for another limited-run. However, KFC announced today that the iconic Tower Burger (AUD$9.95) is back on the menu, and a few new friends are joining it.
We’re talking about a double-breaded Original Crispy fillet, tangy tomato sauce, a classic cheese slice, mayo, fresh lettuce and finally (but crucially) a deliciously irresistible hash brown. Can we get a Hoyaaa?

According to KFC, the return of the Tower Burger comes after mass requests from local fast-food fans: “The Tower Burger has long been the most requested burger in Australia, so we’re excited to bring this fan-favourite back while also innovating our menu to introduce the first ever variations of this iconic feed, with the brand-new Tower Stacker and Tower Twister,” said Sally Spriggs, Group Marketing Director, KFC Australia.
Previous iterations of the KFC Tower Burger have allowed fans to swap out the Original Recipe fillet for a Zinger fillet. Excitingly, that remains for the latest iteration, meaning you can choose to swap out the Original Recipe fillet for a Zinger fillet on the Tower Burger and the new burger that joins the line-up – the brand new Tower Stacker, which has completely rewritten the rule book.
In 2021, KFC announced in a cryptic message that “fans who were in on the secret” would be granted the opportunity to “double up”. While not a Sherlock Holmes-level mystery, the clues pointed to a secret menu addition: the Tower Stacker (AUD$11.95). That means not one, but TWO of KFC’s Original Crispy fillets will adorn this full meal.
This beastly new Tower Stacker is also joined by a humble (and underrated) Tower Twister (AUD$9.95), which puts all of the Tower goodness into a palm-sized tube of crunch.
You can try the new KFC Tower Burger, Tower Stacker, and Tower Twister with Original Recipe or Zinger fillets at KFC restaurants Australia-wide until Monday, 25 November 2024.
