Been thinking about leaving your worries ashore and indulging in an intimate romantic getaway? Located on the pristine waters of Sydney’s Palm Beach, luxury short-stay villa, Lilypad might be exactly what you’re after. The floating destination has officially returned to our shores after a series of unfortunate events caused the service to be inoperable less than two years ago. The luxury accommodation is now ready to make a stunning resurgence with updated offerings and its breathtaking locale.
Floated upon the tranquil waters of Palm Beach Cove, Lilypad (now Lilypad II), offers an ultra-luxurious escape to reset and momentarily isolate from the world around. The two-person retreat is fitted with an assortment of resort-style comforts, including an onboard solar-powered infrared sauna, a roman tiled outdoor shower, onboard spa treatments, and complimentary French champagne and tasting plate on arrival.
“The intention for both Lilypad and Lilypad II was to combine innovative design with traditional craftsmanship and modern luxuries to build a unique and exceptional space,” founder and owner Chuck Anderson said. “I wanted to pay homage to the unspoiled environment in which Lilypad resides and allow guests to feel totally immersed in this awe-inspiring space.”
According to Anderson, Lilypad II truly is an all-season escape. Swim in the pristine waters of your surroundings in summer or enjoy an evening by the custom open fireplace in winter. All packages include meals prepared by an offsite head chef, an onboard wine cellar with a selection of hand-picked wines, and your own private self-drive tender. You also have plenty of options to enjoy the stunning surroundings; explore by foot, with the complete walk-on, walk-off service, paddleboard or by air with Seaplane transfers from Rose Bay for additional costs.
“We believe we have created a setting that offers true relaxation and enjoyment of the natural beauty where Lilypad exists but also an accessible luxury that can be enjoyed year-round,” Anderson said. “The addition of the sauna is evocative of a European chalet in winter while the outdoor shower and indoor/outdoor living means when the weather is warmer, there is nowhere else guests would want to be.”
The luxury floating villa is not only for isolated stays but for intimate events also. Lilypad Palm Beach provides the perfect venue to host friends, family, or clients, able to host 12 for an intimate sit-down lunch or 18 for a standing canape function.
