Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year
While it is the youngest in the range, this dram is still exceptionally old for a Bourbon aged in the heart of Kentucky. It contains the same wheated Bourbon as the older bottlings, but presents at a feisty barrel proof of 53.5%, ensuring a full body and intensely spicy profile.
Nose: Rich, freshly glazed cinnamon doughnuts are accompanied by thick vanilla custard, dark cherries, toasted wheaty bread, barrel char, cinnamon, nutmeg and subtle star anise.
Taste: The strength of this whiskey announces itself immediately: hot cinnamon and ginger are followed by cracked black pepper, more vanilla, elegant wood smoke and caramelised corn.
Finish: A spicy finish that rolls on and on. Tannic oak dries the palate, and leaves a warming sweetness you’ll be basking in all night. Absurdly decadent whiskey.

Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year
Ranked the number one Bourbon whiskey in the world. This dram’s two-decade slumber in heavily charred oak barrels produces an opulent and complex whiskey. Bottled at 45.2%, it hits the sweet spot between drinkability and richness.
Nose: Warm leather wafts out of the glass, with aromas of buttered popcorn, toffee, freshly zested orange, sandalwood and toasted ground cinnamon. Dark oak and subtle woodsmoke come with time.
Taste: Oak tannins arrest the palate, with luscious vanilla and the same citrus from the nose. Sweet buttered cornbread with honey and faint wood smoke emerge, with some subtle fruitcake.
Finish: Softer than the 15-year-old, with caramelised orchard fruits taking precedence over spices. Dark chocolate, vanilla and sweet oak linger long after the spirit has disappeared.

Pappy Van Winkle 23 Year
The big pappy of the collection. After 23 years in heavily charred oak barrels, this dram has developed a uniquely sophisticated profile. Simply put, this is one of the rarest whiskies in the world, it really does not get much better than this.
Nose: Concentrated forest floor aromas of maple, sandalwood and dusty oak. Some delicate floral notes emerge, alongside blackberries, figs in syrup and fresh lemon zest.
Taste: A buttery mouthfeel reveals butterscotch coated vanilla ice cream, tobacco leaf, chocolate biscuits, caramelised pears and apples, with drying oak tannins and intense cinnamon spice emerging.
Finish: Extremely long, with lingering notes of treacle, pecans, nutmeg and dried oak. The holy grail of Bourbons lives up to its billing.
