When Fernanda Marques, of the architectural firm with the same name, was approached by a client with an interesting request, she jumped at the chance to implement it. Her client wanted a swimming pool IN his apartment – a duplex in Brazil.
While many designers may have faltered at an attempt, Marques went above and beyond, creating a stunning, glass-enclosed pool that is not the center of attention as soon as you walk into this impressive Sao Paulo home.
Beyond the swimming pool an oversized couch lays between the two double-height walls – one side facing the glass pool walls and the other a wall-mounted television.
As the client is also an avid art collector, Marques chose to head in a minimalist direction as to leave plenty of room and open space to display the art pieces.
Live-edge and natural wood elements highlight the Spartan and neutral toned apartment – each room having an extensive view of the miraculous pool set up by Marques and her team.
