$10 Million Melbourne Penthouse Set to Shatter Records

Melbourne’s prestigious bayside suburb of Brighton has just got even more luxurious. The sought-after suburb has welcomed a block of multi-million dollar, fully furnished luxury residences at Fifty Two Black. Given the state of the rental market, you may be wondering how much an extravagant residence such as this one would set you back. Well, brace yourselves – this fresh new build is set to ask for upwards of $5,500 per night for the three-bedroom residences and a 12-month lease is set to be $8,500 per week. And the penthouse? That’s set for sale with price hopes of a whopping AUD$10 million, which if realised, would be a price per square metre record for Brighton.

While that does sound like a hefty figure, a quick glimpse inside Fifty Two Black reveals why the asking price is sky-high. Developed by Melbourne-based lifestyle developer PB&Co, Fifty Two Black has been designed to appeal to high-net-worth individuals, with architectural features and interior palette to suit those with let’s say, a taste for the finer things in life (and the money to back it up.)

“PB&Co.’s brand vision is, and always has been, to facilitate effortless luxury and elevated experiences for our residents,” Michael Pesochinsky, president of PB&Co. said. “At Fifty Two Black, we believe we have delivered a world-class project that will change how the Australian property market looks at real estate. The model blends the service and detail of a hotel, down to the bathrobes, stocked linen and even the crockery, all awaiting our clients’ arrival, with the design and quality of a global standard of residential property design.”

Internationally acclaimed New York designer Meg Sharpe was the genius behind the interiors, working alongside Australia’s renowned architectural practice, Nicholas Day Architects and New York’s award-winning Gregory Tuck.

The design of the residence features a distinct laid-back elegance that echoes its relaxed coastal location – dominated by refined materials (we’re talking $1 million worth of imported marble,) clean lines, light-filled spaces and soft, romantic hues. The bespoke furnishings, fittings and fixtures are all from leading luxury home furnishings purveyor, RH Contract, which come together beautifully with the beautifully styled interiors to elevate each carefully sculpted residence at Fifty Two Black.

Some of our favourite features include a Costera leather sofa designed by American Jason Chauncey, a hand-woven, 100 per cent silk pile rug and a 60-inch Art Deco chandelier from renowned lighting designer Ian K. Fowler.

From the moment you arrive, you will be immersed in the decadence, grandeur and elegance that defines Fifty Two Black – offering you an immediate ticket into the world of luxury, something we’re always down for. Set to transform Australia’s luxury residential market, Fifty Two Black has now launched to the market for sale and leasing opportunities.
