WOW Beds Duo Mattress Review: Comfortable & Cool

Over the years, we’ve seen more and more box brands pop up, pushing the traditional way of mattress shopping to a relative no-go, and for good reason. Mattress companies are becoming more innovative, adding a touch of convenience to the overall offering. As a result, a great quality mattress is more affordable than ever and you no longer need to spend thousands for a great night’s sleep, at least that’s what we’ve learned from WOW Beds.

What We Liked What We Didn’t

Rehoming program if not satisfied Spring protections could be slightly improved

Overview

The brand’s Duo Mattress is a recognised go-to in the boxed market, but the major difference is that WOW Beds was in the game long before the box mattress trend started. For 20 years, WOW Deds has offered premium sleep solutions that your body will thank you for.

The Duo mattress from WOW Beds also gives you a choice between medium, medium-firm, and firm. We went with the medium and found it was comfortable with just the right amount of firmness. With enhanced sleep, we noted the positive effects on mood and day-to-day activities, however, WOW Beds also offers a 120-day trial and guarantee a full refund if you’re finding yourself not fully satisfied.

How is it Made?

Three hundred pocket springs give you more support with individually responsive strings to align your spine, support pressure points and isolate movement. In terms of quality, aside from using materials free of harmful substances and heavy metals, the WOW bed is designed for a comfortable and cool night of supportive sleep. Constructed from quality foam materials and inner springs, the build quality is solid, however, the springs may be more obvious for heavier people. The standard range of mattresses is available from single to king size.

Price

You can’t put a price on a good night’s sleep, but if you had to, WOW Beds certainly deliver, albeit, it is on the pricier end for boxed mattresses. While the brand currently has some promotions, here is the breakdown of the standard pricing.

Single: $790
King Single: $890
Double: $1,190
Queen: $1,290
King: $1,490

It also includes a free Hybrid Pillow when you purchase one of the above. The purchase consists of a 10-year warranty meaning the mattress can be repaired or replaced for faults or manufacturing defects.

Delivery

Once ordered, the mattress is dispatched within 24 hours as a contactless delivery right to your door. Delivery is also free to all non-remote areas and you will receive regular text updates to keep you informed on your mattress’ whereabout, including when it’s been dispatched, on the route, and 30 minutes away which is great.

Once the old mattress is out of the way, as many box mattresses come, it only requires a box cutter and an extra hand to help place it into position. The set-up was very straightforward. Once placed into position, the company recommends that you wait approximately four hours for it to bounce back into shape before sleeping on it for the first time.

If for whatever reason you want to return the mattress within the 120 night trial period, pick up is free, and if you live remotely, the company will arrange with a charity to pick up your mattress. All returned mattresses are rehomed to those in need.

From a general perspective, WOW Beds seriously fits the bill. We have been sleeping on the WOW Bed for two months now, and our sleep has improved in both quality and quantity. Turns out the boxed bed revolution might really be all it’s cracked up to be.
