Last year, Dutch interior design studio Rik ten Velden launched the Selectors DJ Cabinet that was a homemaker’s aesthetic dream. The designers threw away the cliché industrial greys and blacks of standard DJ cabinets and built one from beautiful timber with a sturdy steel frame that would look amazing in any modern home. In 2017, the Selectors DJ Cabinet returns in a new design made from walnut timber.

The cabinet is designed so that two turntables can be situated on top, with plenty of room below to keep all your 33s and 45s, plus additional drawer space that can be used to store headphones, cables or a liquor collection. Maybe don’t take your liquor collection to the club. The wooden cabinets can be removed for easier transportation.

The Selectors Cabinet is ideal for a DJ with a flair for great decor and great music. Rik ten Velden is happy to customise the colours and composition of the cabinet upon request. Let’s be honest, an aesthetically pleasing piece of furniture that matches the paintwork is the only way your significant other will let you get away with keeping turntables In the living room.

Have you subscribed to Man of Many?
