Bollinger B2 Pickup Truck is a 614HP Electric Beast

Electric cars have been around for a bit now, but what we are only just beginning to see are electric pickup trucks. Tesla’s Cybertruck has had mixed reviews. One electric truck that has the world eagerly looking forward to its release is the Bollinger B2 Pickup Truck. The squared-off vehicle has a distinct look (maybe not as distinct as the Cybertruck) and some pretty impressive capacities.

The B2 uses dual electric motors that combine for an impressive 614 horsepower and 688 lb-ft of torque. That power makes it possible for the B2 to tow up to 7,500 pounds and to have a payload of up to 5,001 pounds. As a work truck, the B2 is impressive, but it’s also not a slouch in other performance areas. The B2 can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 100 miles per hour. One of the motors is mounted upfront while the other resides in the rear. The two-speed transfer case has both high and low ranges, which combined with the variable ground clearance of between 10 to 20 inches, makes the B2 very capable of going off-road. The battery for the B2 provides 200 miles of driving range and features fast charging. A full charge can happen in 10 hours on a 220-volt outlet or use a DC fast-charging outlet and drop the charging time to 75 minutes.

The body panels on this truck are also foldable and removable, which opens up a world of possibilities. The interior is open, allowing for a 16-foot pass-through down the centre of the truck. The cargo bed measures 5 feet 9 inches, but you can tack on an extra 2 feet using the fold-away rear wall in the cabin. The B2 offers heated seats and air conditioning, as well as standard Bluetooth and six 110-volt outlets. When the B2 is made available, you can expect to pay about $125,000 for it.
