Himalaya introduces their new Defender 110 Spectre Custom by explaining that the Defender was designed as a “go-anywhere vehicle” that was meant to meet the “demands of farmers and explorers alike.”
Looking at the Spectre, you’re not going to see any of that heritage, though it would no doubt serve on the farm or backwoods trail.
The Spectre truck isn’t going to be missed. Blessed with a 4-inch lift, it stands tall above any other vehicle out there. Then you add in the 37-inch Toyo Open Country tires on 18-inch Sawtooth Alloy wheels, and it towers over everything.
The custom-made bed features a mount tire carrier. Under the truck is a Fox Performance Shocks and Extreme Currie Hi-Flex Suspension for a smooth ride even on the roughest roads. Under the hood you’ll find a 6.3 LS3 Corvette engine that pumps 525 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque to 6L8oE LT77 automatic transmission.
There are skid plates front and back, LED lighting, and a winch. The whole truck, wheels included, is matte gunmetal gray with black accents.
The interior definitely isn’t a farm truck interior. The seats are custom Ruskin Leather Recaro, and they’re heated. The matching Puma dash sports a MOMO leather steering wheel. There’s an Alpine touchscreen and a custom audio system.
In other words: pure beast on the outside, pure luxury on the inside.
