The Dubai Police tourist patrol fleet has officially inducted its latest high-performance hybrid supercar, the Lamborghini Temerario. Commissioned in partnership with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Temerario translates to “reckless” in English, and the new addition brings a 920 HP electrified powertrain and a staggering AUD$613,885 baseline value to the emirate’s popular tourist districts.
Under the skin, the Temerario features a high-performance electrified vehicle setup that outpaces the track-special Huracán STO. It pairs an all-new in-house 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine featuring a flat-plane crankshaft and titanium conrods, allowing it to scream to a 10,000 rpm redline. This internal combustion block is supported by three independent electric motors and a 3.8 kWh battery. The resulting hybrid architecture delivers a combined output of 920 HP, pushing the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 343 km/h.
Officers inside the cabin will benefit from increased headroom and legroom compared with previous-generation models, alongside a triple-screen digital dashboard that includes a dedicated 9.1-inch passenger display.

While the performance figures rival track-focused hypercars, this vehicle serves a highly specific community role. Operating under the Tourist Police Department, the supercar is deployed across heavy-footfall areas to increase law enforcement visibility and foster positive public relations.
The Dubai Police force is also no stranger to a few supercars. The department currently holds the Guinness World Record for operating the world’s fastest police car in service, a Bugatti Veyron capable of reaching a top speed of 407 km/h. Since introducing a Lamborghini Aventador to the fleet in 2013, the organisation has continually leveraged these luxury assets to market the city and break down barriers between law enforcement and the public. As part of a push to tout the department’s gender equality credentials, female police officers are assigned to pilot the fleet’s most expensive vehicles, which also include bespoke models such as the Aston Martin One-77 and Bentley Continental GT.
Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, confirmed the vehicle is designed to make officers more approachable. “Our luxury patrol fleet represents an innovative approach to policing, combining an effective security presence with community and tourist engagement.
“These vehicles help people feel safe, showcase Dubai’s positive image to visitors from around the world, and raise awareness of police services and public safety. Above all, they reinforce our commitment to being a police force that is close to the community,” he said.

Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, Director of the Tourist Police Department at Dubai Police, echoed this sentiment: “At Dubai Police, we are committed to keeping pace with global developments and adopting initiatives that reflect Dubai’s leadership and unique character. The addition of the Lamborghini Temerario demonstrates our continued efforts to develop our luxury patrol fleet and strengthen strategic partnerships with the private sector, contributing to a better quality of life, community happiness and an exceptional experience for Dubai’s visitors.”
The handover marks a new chapter in a long-standing relationship between the Italian automaker and the United Arab Emirates. Martino Picotti, General Manager of Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, said, “Our ongoing partnership with Dubai Police reflects the strong relationship between Lamborghini and the United Arab Emirates. The addition of the Temerario marks an exciting new chapter in this collaboration, bringing together Lamborghini’s passion for innovation and excellence in super sports cars with Dubai Police’s commitment to developing its services and strengthening its role in serving the community.”
Dubai Police Temerario joins an already impressive stable of patrol vehicles, which most recently added the Lamborghini Urus Performante. That twin-turbo V8 Super SUV brings 666 CV to the fleet and was notably outfitted with an armoured gun box, a fold-down message display, and a rear spoiler fitted with blue 360-degree LED lights. Both vehicles are currently active and patrolling major tourist zones across the city.
