  • Lamborghini x Sonus faber unveil Il Cremonese EX3ME special-edition speakers.
  • Limited to 50 pairs globally, priced at €125,000 (approx. AUD$220,000)
  • 3.5-way design, DLC beryllium tweeter, 92 dB, 25–35,000 Hz.
  • Hand-voiced by technicians, award-winning Sonus faber pedigree included.
  • Offered in five Lamborghini finishes, individually numbered.

While their hybrid V12-powered supercar, the Revuelto, is at the top of the class when it comes to speed, Lamborghini might have just conquered the audio and speakers category. Quickly becoming known for their collaborations with brands like Balenciaga, the brand has taken the covers off its AUD$220,000 Sonus faber Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition speaker collab at Lamborghini Villa in Pebble Beach, California for Monterey Car Week.

Limited to just 50 pairs globally, with each specific number displayed on the speaker alongside the Lamborghini badge and Sonus Faber logo, the price-tag makes the optional Sonus faber sound system (approx. AUD$10,000) in the new AUD$987,000 plus on-road costs Lamborghini Revuelto seem pretty cost effective.

Despite the rather absurd price-tag, the Sonus faber Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition speakers are amongst the best floorstanding loundspeakers available. The non-Lamborghini-branded Sonus faber Il Cremonese Ex3me speakers are priced at AUD$129,995, and they come from an award-winning high-end audio house whose Stradivari G2 floorstanding loudspeaker received the prestigious Stereo Sound “Grand Prix Golden Sound” award last year. The only question is what music is worthy of listening to through these outlandishly priced speakers?

Of course, the technical side is only part of the equation, and its impressive to note that Sonus faber technicians adjust the final voicing of each and every loudspeaker by ear, reminding us of the attention to detail that we witnessed when visiting the Revuelto and Temerario production line in Sant’Agata Bolognese last year.

“Listening to music, much like driving, is a deeply sensory and emotional experience,” said Jim Mollica, Chief Marketing Officer and President of Luxury Audio at Bose Corporation.

“With the introduction of Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition, we’re bringing the craftsmanship of high-performance sound and the precision of automotive design into the home. With over 100 years of combined excellence, we’re proud to continue our collaboration with our long-standing partner Lamborghini.”

These words were echoed by Christian Mastro, Marketing Director at Automobili Lamborghini. “With Il Cremonese Ex3me-Automobili Lamborghini edition, we celebrate the excellence of Made in Italy by merging Sonus faber’s artisanal sound craftsmanship with Lamborghini’s visionary design,” he said. “This collaboration represents the perfect union of two Italian icons. The result is an uncompromising acoustic experience that reflects our cultural heritage and our relentless pursuit of perfection.”
