Rarely do automotive and fashion brands work together and create something more than a PR opportunity. There’s Porsche at the top of the list, and their collaborative efforts with Aimé Leon Dore will go down as some of the best. Then, somewhere down the bottom, McLaren, whose RHUDE collaboration tried to hit the mark, but ultimately failed.

Now, a new brand is ready to put its name on the list, Lamborghini, whose new Balenciaga | Automobili Lamborghini campaign is a near-perfect match between the two brands. Every brand wants to create an image beyond the vehicle—an automotive aesthetic. However, so many automotive collaborations feel forced. Impressively, Balenciaga | Automobili Lamborghini does not. Maybe it’s because we’ve seen so much Balenciaga at Lamborghini customer events over the years that it just makes sense.

Surprisingly, we don’t even dislike how they’ve released an AUD$1,250 car key charm for people who can’t get their hands on the near $1 million vehicles here in Australia, it just works. So do the pieces that feel closer to advertisements than clothes, including the Lamborghini Temerario T-shirt that puts the 907HP twin-turbo V8 hybrid beast smack on the front. Where our heart lies, however, is the leather goods and jackets, so let’s take a closer look already!

On one hand, you have the industry-leading Italian super sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini, renowned for its high-performance super sports cars. On the other hand, there’s Balenciaga, whose ready-to-wear collections, leather goods, jewellery, and accessories are amongst the most sought-after on the planet.

Balenciaga | Automobili Lamborghini keeps things true to the automotive aesthetic, with sticker-style logo slaps across key styles, including oversized bomber jackets, motorsports-inspired leather racing jackets, T-shirts, hoodies, and trompe-l’œil layered shirts.

On the leather goods front, the collection reintroduces the Rodeo (AUD$13,900), Hourglass (AUD$4,290), Explorer (AUD$1,750), and Carrie (AUD$7,350) bags, in new styles, now adorned with the Automobili Lamborghini Shield emblem, alongside the Dashboard Clutch (AUD$3,050) and charms inspired by the Shield emblem and the Temerario’s key fob.

The Balenciaga | Automobili Lamborghini campaign featured throughout this article is photographed by Stef Mitchell and features models Agel, Liz, Abdou, and Mihai next to the 1,001HP Lamborghini Revuelto supercar, powered by a plug-in hybrid V12 powertrain.

We’ve included a link to purchase all of the items in the nearly 40-piece collection below, but you can also shop in-store at select Balenciaga stores worldwide, as well as on balenciaga.com and balenciaga.cn. Going a step further, special activations will take place worldwide featuring customised super sports cars, artworks, videos, and an in-store Automobili Lamborghini Apple Vision Pro virtual experience (yes, they still exist, apparently). Lastly, there’s an in-store activation featuring special driving simulators by Vesaro at select locations.

Sadly, Sydney will miss out on the festivities, but if you’re in Avenue Montaigne in Paris, Taikoo Hui in Shanghai, Greene Street in New York, the Design District in Miami, Dubai Mall, The Hyundai in Seoul, as well as a special location in the Toranomon district in Tokyo, there’s unique colourways of the Lamborghini Revuelto super sports cars with Balenciaga graffiti decals for your viewing pleasure.
